This deck made me pretty proud. I ended up trading for my third shredding and dance before the tournament and put them into the deck pretty quickly so I wasnt sure what to expect. Overall its a fairly straightforward deck lotm provides a steady amount of momentum to fuel menuet, whirlwind and pretty much most of the deck. Omnidirectional was suggested by a friend of mine and it worked really well. The action side came in handy when I wanted to shut down bitter rivals or brt. Healer was originally put in as spike protection but I ended useing it against other multiples such as kuzuryrepa in a certain shotokan. Whirlwind turned out to be a huge help in this deck I cant remember how many times I used it to clear some attacks and follow with a shredding. It also came in handy with clearing menuet as my life was taking a beating through just pumping its speed. Makai high noble was a must in the deck as i didnt have access to blinding rage and pretty much everyone but me was running lolcodans mentoring. Kabuki artist was also thrown in last minute as an option to help recur my attacks. Off course using it to recur chesters and lotm also came up. Vulcan punch was an interesting attack that i liked as it was a 3cc multiple 1 that discarded its multiple if it dealt damage. This helped with a few things but the foremost that it helped fulfil the prereq for shredding. Rolling buckler has been one of my fave attacks ever since it came out. I love the fact that I gain momentum no matter what happens (unless they negate the E). It was a pin prick attack that helped out in more ways then one. While shredding did see play in allmost every match I think menuet is the thing that actually killed pple. It was the attack that was thrown out normally cause I knew pple couldnt ignore it. Throughout all my games gloomy side was definetly the one that was hated the most as it tended to make the deck possibly even 2x as fast (I think jolly is cuter though). Just something about gloomy that makes you want to attack quicker i guess. All in all the deck did really well but as I went through the tournament i found out that there were alot of things that the deck had trouble with.

1. Low amount of low blocks. This became apperent when I fought a promo blanka in the tournament. Everyone was packing high blocks for spike but only one deck used spike. i could definetly see if i could put on more low blocks or even mid to help this.

2. Momentum gen. Even with lotm and omni i still found myself in predicaments where i had no momentum and lots of things that needed it. Because of this La superba or some other momentum gen might find its way into the deck.

3. No attacks. With only 15 attacks in the deck it was agravating when I didnt draw them. Although this didnt happen often It is worth note. But im not really sure what to do about it at this time.

Thanks again for everyone who was at the tourney I had a blast and im looking forward to the next tourney i go to there. Please leave your comments, ideas, or questions as I am always willing to experiment.

King of Fighters 2006 would definitely be my choice for another piece of momentum gen, as it also serves to deplete your opponent's hand.

One suggestion I have is to maybe take out Kabuki Artist for From the Mouse, Humility. It's got better stats and a low block for roughly the same purpose. It wont let you choose the card making it a little less consistent but it helps a bit more in the stat department.

For low block ideas you could try Rootless instead of Return to Southtown. On the attack side, Swing Kick could replace Rolling Buckler uppercut.

Honestly I can't see anything that would need to change in it if you fix the low block issue. You've got decent recursion for your attacks so 15 should be fine (every deck I've ever played has had issues with not getting the attacks, it just comes with the game). I see a hell of a lot of 6 checks so I can imagine how quick the deck works. Nice job!

I like the ideas. I will be taking out return to southtown for rootless and i will see if I can dig up some king of fighters 2006. Im not sure if I can part with rolling though its just too good. I will think about it though and test it out.

In a format like this where there's so little recursion from the discard pile, Kabuki's too good to cut, really, since it can pretty much always nab an attack from the discard pile, including one you just discarded during a Vibrato.

KoF is a great way to go if you want a little more momentum, as noted by Waffle.

About the only other real suggestions I could come up with were Ira-Spinta and Heel Snipe...deck looks really solid.

O, and be aware - I'm stealing the use of Whirlwind for my own Tira. GOD that would have helped a lot xD

lol nuuuu not meh whirlwind xD . Heel snipe might make its way in but the problem with it is that its so high costing especially as a reversal. I have always envisioned this Tira to be able to fling alot of attacks a turn. Although i like the floating ability I might look for ways to use it when I get more. Ira spinta doesnt work for Tira imo its more of a control card and I think it would hinder the deck more with the 2cc. I will try it though as I have 3 spinta's. As for kabuki...kabuki is staying lol . That kind of recursion is just far too useful. I remeber using it to fish for blocks and everything and anything lol. Let me know when you post your Tira so I might steal some idea's myself >3

Haha, I already did xD

do you ever think running another shredding and meneute dance would help you? or did you purposely aim for 3?

I went with 3 each because thats all I have atm. When I stop to think about it though i think 4 might be overdoing it as I already sometimes dont have enough momentum to fuel menuet and with shreddings cost having 4 might give me too many dead cards in my hand. I think that even if I had 4 of each I might not go above 3.

i sent you a FQ was wondering if you had aim or msn so I could ask you a few questions... i am fairly new to the game started about 2 weeks ago... was wondering if I could just ask you some stuff! let me know! =D

Sure im always up to talk and such. My windows messenger is [email protected] also whats a FQ?

ah friend request :P

i added you! [email protected]

so accept me =)

First off, congrats on your win, mang!!!

Secondly, you mentioned that you had a minor issue with generating momentum despite LotM. If it's really that much of a problem, i would consider adding White Magic to this deck, or even Solitary Assasin since you're running so many Multiple Attacks. :)

Both would help solve this issue.

Ty =D white magic might find its way in till I can locate some king of fighters 2006. Im not sold on solitary assasin due to the fact that when I want momentum in a large amount it would be for the multiple that I can no longer play lol . SA is however an option I might try anyway as I use alot of cards that need it. If I can get a 4th menuet then it prolly will find its way in.

personally, natural leader, lotm, white magic?!?! so much momentum gain lol

Natural leader has not been put into the deck. I like white magic better because it only costs a one and is a nice jump start to the deck. of course kof 2006 would be the best.

Actually, you CAN play the multiple...you play the multiple FIRST and THEN reduce the the attacks Multiple Rating...in fact, it's already been ruled as such. :)

while SA would be kinda nice.. it would be useless if you already didnt have the momentum to use dance... but i could see it being usful just to retain some momen. after dance has used 3-4

i know I can use it after the multiple has been played. But that still doesnt help when I need 3 momentum to play the multiple before I activate SA :P .

and white magic seems OK, since you can only trigger one per beginning of your opponents combat phase... so even if oyu had multiple out... only one would be able to be used... which kinda sucks.

well according to the rules posted by FFG there is only 1 combat phase? and that is when they play down any card, foundatiom, asset, or attack and that signfies the beginning of a combat phase..... so I could only see you using one white magic ... per turn... so.. why would it be so good then?

Think of it as you activating different cards to the same effect. Each white magic has the same effect that triggers to the same thing. In short you activate say 2 white magic. You get to choose which one resolves first then the second. They are both reacting to the same thing. So yea if you have multiple WM then you can use them all on the same phase. (sorry if this was confusing ive had a long day)

Well, instead of Silent Assasin you could run Professional Soldier. Sure, it lessens your staging area but it synergizes incredibly well with Tira's and Kabuki...

As your suggestion I put 3 PS into the deck and so far I am liking it. Although it lessons the staging area it does something that kof 2006 does not, a continuous momenum gen. Kof is a one time use that comits itself PS gives you a way to gain a momenum on every attack. I really like it as it speeds the deck up alot. I will be still testing it and making sure that kof or any other idea that might come up will be better but for now it seems that PS is a hidden gem.
