The Pilot Card Which Requires The Most Player Skill To Use Effectively Is...

Marek Steele? -27 pts before any upgrades. Mediocre dial. a meagre 2 red dice.

It takes a lot of skill to make an Advanced 'work' to the point it is 'effective'. But Marek? Seems a lost cause.

I second this!

Fel's Wrath.

Because finding the card is hard enough. "Using" it skillfully, good luck.

Fels wrath

Or marek stele

Rookie much easier than an alpha with hull. As an avenger vs rookie it's quite different.

Guys guys guys guys

the hardest pilot to fly is:

Arvel Crynyd (before Rebel Aces hit).

Go ahead and milk his potential to his fullest. I'll be waiting. A long time.

Sorry, winner for the hardest to be most effective goes to Tempest Squadron Pilot. Lives as long as the X-Wing but uses a pee-shooter for guns. Has no real support options, no real upgrade options, too few actions and too weak of a dial. To make matters worse, every ship in the game is better for any situation than the poor Tempest.

There is no situation in which I would rather have the Tempest over something else. If all I had was 21 points left, I would shave 3 points off somewhere else and use 2 Academy Pilots instead.

It's actually becoming easier to use his ability with so many more high PS ships being used. And he is still an A-wing - one of the best dials in the game. But yeah Rebel Aces will give him Daredevil for more effective crashing.

My vote is also for the OGP. Large-base and poor maneuverability (unaided).

I would probably pick Kagi over OGP. Same base, same dial, but far more likely to be blocked and with an ability that does not favor a high PS.
