On Sept 20th I'm holding a little bit of a different type of Tournament at Underhill's Games in Cuyahoga Falls Ohio. This event will be called Elite Pilots. Each squad is limited to one ship and 35pts. No large base ships are allowed, the play area is 2x2 and only 4 Astroids will be placed. Each round will only be 30 mins long.

I honestly don't think we will see to many of the same pilots show up. So of you wee coming to this event what would your squad be and why would you choose it?

Horton Salm + R3-A2 + Ion Cannon Turret + Hull Upgrade (35)

For Imperials

Soontir Fel + Push the Limit + Hull Upgrade + Targeting Computer

Late-game closer, massive firepower.... he's Fel, 'nuff said.

For Rebels

Keyan Farlander + Outmaneuver + Advanced Sensors

Focus + TL on every attack, every round. Just add a red maneuver and grab your focus before revealing the dial. You'll be doing a lot of 2K, so Outmaneuver should trigger a few times.

Ha ha, that's funny, yeah we live about 20 minutes east of Providence.

So since I am liking B-wing Aces, here's another:

Nera Dantels + Advanced Proton Torpedo + Advanced Sensors

This one is pretty simple. You get at range one and KO your opponent. Target Lock on the first round of engagement, and save it. Advanced Sensors gives you maximum flexibility on still getting actions on any maneuver.

Alternatively you can use Ion Cannon instead of Advanced Sensors, to line up the shot.

The 35 pts leaves a super Whisper out but Echo is in. By the time the Tournament happens, Aces should be out and that will makes thing interesting. The one thing that could happen is Vader showing up. If only wave 5 were legal for the event:

Darth Vader + Lone Wolf + Engine Upgrade

That could be really good in this format.
