Order 66 Podcast AOR GMK Questions

By KRKappel, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

So apparently I'll be doing the Order 66 podcast again relatively soon, and they started a thread over there to collect questions about the Age of Rebellion Gamemaster's Kit (be it Squad(ron) rules questions or Dead in the Water adventure questions). So if you have questions, you ought to pop over there via this link and add them to the thread, so that they might get answered! And really, if you just have a more general question about my Star Wars FFG work, or anything on Far Horizons or Suns of Fortune (not F&D CRB or Aces yet, though!) I'm sure you could sneak it in there, too.

For some of you, I might have already answered your question previously on these forums (I try to make myself available like that). But for the good of the community, if you found the answer really helpful, you might want to go ahead and ask it again, just so that non-forum folks can get the answer too.

Thanks guys!

Keith,

On page 31 of Onslaught at Arda I, under "Spending Advantage, Triumph, Threat and Despair in Mass Combat", one option for Triumph reads as follows:

"Overwhelmed by the ferocity of the acting unit's attack, the enemy unit is close to abandoning its post. On the next check, any Despair generated causes the unit to abandon its post and run."

My question is whether the "Despair" is correct in this option.

In a Mass Combat check, the acting force is represented by the ability dice and the opposing force is represented by the difficulty dice. In the case of rolling a Despair, shouldn't that Despair represent something bad for the acting force?

Wouldn't a second Triumph be a better option for what causes the overwhelmed enemy unit to abandon its post?

Thanks!

Oh, um, that's not about the GM Kit. Nevermind!
