It looks pretty good, a bit of info on Hutt space will be nice. I'm also looking forward to the more extensive writeup on the Black Market.
What's next? I am guessing a region book like suns of fortune..
Sigh.
Now it'll be even longer before I can see a proper Technician splat.

There is a reason I put him on ignore.
There is no pleasing some people...
So you could say there's just no appointing some people.

Good lord, when is that ridiculous, outdated word going to stop being used?
It's a ******* book, not a "splat."
Jaysus Christ already! I want a tech book as well, so does my tech player. However this is very much I line with what happened last year with a sector book planned for a January (Q4) release. My prediction is that sometime in October is that another career book will be announced. You have one in three chance that it is a technicians book. I don't care what it is since by this time next year. Edge would have ended having career books and be focused on having Adventure or Sector books.
We get a bounty hunter book, cool, bring on the Jetpacks with missile launchers and other cool tech that is associated with them.
We get a technicians book, fantastic, formalised rules for slicing, crafting and other such things.
We get a smuggler book.....great...more gambling and being sneaky-deaky.

Smuggler book will also likely have more tramp freighters to work with. probably will have the most of any book.

I agree, but if I said that the argument that could easily be made is "Great, more CEC Freighters to take up the hundreds of other ships that are freighters." since apparently no one is ever happy with what they get.
Not "displeased", just disappointed. So you could say there's just no appointing some people. There is no pleasing some people...
You are about as funny as you have been interesting to read on these boards, which is not a lot....

Last time I checked, Q4 was Oct/Nov/Dec. This coming January would be Q1 2015. That's not to say that the book wo't run late and actually come out in January though.
I'm really hoping the next one after this will be the Bounty Hunter splat. (And I don't know where the term came from, but it's been common parlance for as long as I've been gaming, so I use it). Daeglan, wanna try out your precog powers again?
Sigh.

Here you go, a proper Technician splat:
It's a ******* book, not a "splat."
I hate the censor. Now I'm trying to figure out what the naught word related to a sourcebook might be. . . .

I always just figure they typed out a string of apostrophes on purpose because they could't think of something intelligent to type.

I think that you meant a string of asterisks...
Considering that Smuggler and Bounty Hunter are probably the most anticipated career books (look, I avoided "splat"), my guess would be, we see the Technician next. (Great, I want slicing rules, and more mods, and cool species like Sluissi and ...)
I would like to see Droid Wrangler as a Tech Spec.
Looking forward to the Verpine in a Technician book.
Hey, do y'all think there'll only be three sector books for the EotE line? Going by the formula:
- Adventure
- Career
- Sector
- Career
That equals three adventures and three sector books until all the career (splat) books are out. Perhaps then, when the EotE line has run dry, they'll continue the formula for AoR and F&D (as they're already doing with AoR), and then after that (if we're lucky), convert to universal, all-system 'Star Wars Roleplaying' books?
Edited by I. J. ThompsonI would expect that after the career books, if the game is still popular and FFG maintain the license, sector and adventure books will keep coming. The way it is setup, another round of career books could conceivably show op. I don't think that would be a good idea.
Also, with the new movies and shows, FFG could do a new core book or supplements set in those time periods.

The sky's the limit!
I guess I'm just hoping to see, once all the core books are covered, sector books and adventures geared toward all three lines.

I don't know. I was quite whelmed by the "no appointing" people joke. (Am I sensing a YJ reference going on here?
)
I'd also like to see Technician next as I think that career is the most urgently in need of more material and things to do, imo. Though that said, I'm not in the slightest upset to see this Nal Hutta source book. I can see this being really useful and interesting.
Looking forward to the Verpine in a Technician book.

Or they can replace the career book gap with something else. Perhaps an era book that could discuss running edge games in other eras. Perhaps a GM book.
While it wouldn't make a whole lot of sense for Edge, both Age and Force could see a Villain Side sourcebook. A book on how to run a GalCivWar game with the might of the Imperial war machine backing you up, and a book on being a team of Dark Jedi acolytes working for a Sith Lord or something.
