Flechette Cannon:

If this attack hits the defender suffers 1 damage The defender gets also one stress token. Then cancel all dice results.

An ion cannon that produces stress?

Whats this worth point-wise? 3 points?

Mangler Cannon:

When ... may change ... [hit] results.

?

I see When atta.......

When attacking you may change a blank/ focus to a hit result maybe?

For the Flechette, if that really is the wording of the card I'd say 2 points. Its less powerful than being able to Ion someone since the effect is only limiting based on the target's green maneuvers.

PS - Kath Scarlet loves this cannon I think =P.

With the token mix for the ship showing three Critical Hit tokens, I'd guess that at least one of them does increased critical damage.

*edit* Yes, I know they're Ion Tokens now. Stop correcting me without reading the rest of the thread first. Thanks!

Those are Ion tokens.

Oh. Yes they are. Sorry. I've had a tough two weeks. :)

Right 2 points seems fair.

The 'hired' Kath Scarlet i guess ;)

So, maybe its a 2-points and a 4-points (or 6-points) cannon?!

The Flechette cannon is cheap, but 2-3 of them can ruin your day.

I think its meant to be used with the Scyk -

Hence 12 points for the ps2 scyk + 2 points for the 'Heavy Scyk' upgrade and 2 points for the Flechette Cannon -

and you can have 6 of them ... IF the base scyk really is 12 points.

real question about fletchete cannon is number of dice and range. Ability is mostly secondary to that

I'm curious if there will be a pow 3 cannon that will be range 1-3... That would make the Outrider smile.

The M3A will be more than 12 points without a shadow of a doubt. The Z95 will still be 12 points, the M3A will likely be 14+. I doubt it will be this much, but it COULD be 17 minimum so that we can't load 4 with Heavy Laser Cannons. I find that unlikely, but I'd guess 14-15 for the cheapest.

It looks to be 14 points, as a ps 8 pilot is 20.

Yup, I'm hoping for 14, so I can run 4 with Serissu and HLCs on casual night. Long range 4 die volleys with long range buffed defense. Probably not competitive, but definitely sounds like fun!

I think the flechette cannon will be 2 points, range 1-2, attack 3.

The mangler(?) cannon, I'm not sure. I'm guessing it'll be changing one focus result to a hit. This would make the obligatory focus action slightly less obligatory, as a TL would improve its damage more. This would make it more useful on higher PS ships as they can use TLs more effectively, and thus, is less likely to be spammed. I'm guessing range 1-3, attack 3, and 5 points.

I hope they'll be 13 points. 5 Heavies with Autoblasters will deal some damage. :3

I don't think it's a "Mangler" Cannon, I think it's a "Mando" Cannon. As in Mandolorian. In one of the clips for "Star Wars Rebels," a Stormtrooper says that a character is wearing "Mando armor," so abbreviating Mandolorian to Mando is apparently a thing in the Star Wars universe.

As for the Flechette Cannon, I hope it costs no more than 3 points. 4 would be uncompetitive.

I'm kinda' fixated on that 3K turn. That's nice.

Flechette torps are 2 so I'm thinking this will be 3pts.

Couple 2-3 ion cannons to stress ionized ships and you got yourself a blue/black control fleet.

The best part of this expansion is you can now concede by flipping a "GG" token. :P #SC2

Until I hear otherwise I am going to keep calling it a "Mango" cannon!

Except you can see the G...So mangle makes much more sense then mango. Unless we are firing fruit at the enemy.

Yorr all forgetting about the best new cannon combo...

...

Lambda flechette Cannon!

I'm going to guess it will be able to throw out like 6 stress in a single round by itself with some strange combo.

Flechette torps are 2 so I'm thinking this will be 3pts.

Depends on the range and conditions. If it's range 1-2 I think it'll have to be cheaper than an ion cannon. If it's range 1-3, I could see it being 3.

There is one minute between the first post correcting you and the second post doing so. The second post occurring at the same time you responded to the first. No one badgered you, both correction came at pretty much the same time so there is no need for the flippant edit.

Flechette cannon looks like it deals 1 single damage. Then, if an [unknown condition] is met, it will also deal a stress token to the target. Maybe that condition is something related to hull value, like his torpedo brothers, or maybe something related to having stress or not when attacked, for example.

My instinct tells me that the catch with this weapon is that it will attack with lots of dice... 4 or maybe even 5 red dice. So it will be very easy to hit with it, even against high agility targets.

Mangler cannon looks like it will transform hit results into crit results. Combined with marksmanship, it could open up devastating volleys of fire. That's why I think its firepower won't be higher that 3 dice.
