Are there any plans to expand the game by official expansion? I'm thinking about buying BSG but if there will be some expansions I won't buy polish version because I don't think that publisher will translate expansions.

I think there just has to be an expansion. It's one of FFGs more popular games and there are SO many characters they haven't used yet, as well as many situations that did not come up until the later seasons.
I think that generally FFG does not announce games or expansions as earlier as they used to because of unforseen delays in the release. People gave them a hard time about meeting deadlines, so they pretty much stay quiet until later in the process.
I'm working on some unofficial expansions (with major input from CaptNeo) that cover Season 2 and 3 with ideas for Season 4 and 4.5.
I'll post something more when I have something tangible.

If they're working on it, they should at least announce. They don't have to set a deadline, they can take the Blizzard Entertainment approach to the release date question:

Yeah, I've noticed them doing this too, but now the pendulum has swung too far in the other direction. I understand not wanting to be held to a deadline, but a total lack of pre-release buzz can't be good for sales either.
Well I definetly hope that there will be an expansion. The game only covers season 1 and so there is a lot more to do considering the relevations of season 4 and the final one ... A new board would be nice. For example a version where you play on new caprica ... but then i´m only dreaming ...
I have trouble seeing BSG being expanded as far as adding new stuff to the existing game goes, but I can see it being extended. Anyone familiar with the Runebound expansions will understand me. I'm thinking of things like Isle of Dread and Frozen Wastes. Those are essentially totally new games but with the same basic underlying mechanics. They might make one that deals with the time from Kobol to New Caprica and another from New Caprica to Earth, for example. You could still use any of the current characters plus a few more added to that game. You'd probably use the same skill decks, but maybe they'd be beefed up a little to keep them from running out so often. The Crisis Deck would be totally new for each game. And they could have some new tweaks too. Perhaps the next game would find a way to involve Pegasus and to have the eventual goal of settling on New Caprica. The one after that might have Cylon allies and the Final Five. The truly diehard could then play all three games in a row for a complete BSG experience.
I agree. Just like in runebound you could do simple card-expansions. That would be nice and it would come cheap (which is also quite nice considering the new top titels from ffg coming out during the next months ...)

This is something I would LOVE to see!
If FFG is not going to throw us a bone, we as fans and consumers have no alternative but to create our own enhancements to an already excellent platform. I do have faith in them, but it is frustrating during the dreamtime. Fortunately, some of you have very crafty ideas and have made the BSG universe a lot of fun. Thanks!
