Help me improve my Rexlar + TIE Fighters list

I have a Rexlar + Tie list, that has worked ok, it's a little hit and miss, but I think that's more due to me making mistakes then the list itself.

Rexlar w/HLC, Stealth Device and Lone Wolf

3x Black Squad Pilot with Predator.

I know some don't care for Pred on a 2 attack ship, but effectively you're giving each one the same effect Howlrunner does, if not more, and doesn't go away when a single tie is killed.

Honestly I want to try something new and I don't hear anything about people saying PTL with a defender.
I want to Kturn, boost after the K turn and then focus. It sounds nasty.
OR K-Boost-Barrel-Roll.
I've considered removing mauler for feistier interceptors, but want to see how this goes.
