Golden Idol in the Desert- Do you still lose a life?

By bioball, in Talisman Rules Questions

So the Golden Idol works just like the Temple. If you are "enslaved" while the Golden Idol is on the Desert space, do you lose 1 life at the begining of each round while trying to roll a 4,5 or 6?

What happens if the Idol is moved by another card? Does the "enslaved" player move with it?

Thanks,

BB

That "Golden" bit threw my off when reading the thread title, thought it was about the Golden Statue and thought "huh?".

Well, I read the Temple as if you roll 1-3, your turn ends right there, no encounters. Same would apply to Idol + Desert combo. IF my Temple interpretation is correct that is.

Idol reads: "...remain on this space until..." so I'd say you stay there, even if the Idol moves. You worshipped the idol, got enslaved to some beduines gui%C3%B1o.gif .

You don`t loos life every turn, only the first turn when you land on the space. thats my opinion, you are stuck in a temple, there must be some whater there for you to drinkpartido_risa.gif

Not sure, but I won't say you're landing on the space if you stay enslaved. If you're not landing, you don't lose a Life. Same will apply if you miss a Turn while in the Desert; you don't have to lose a Life because you're missing the Turn on that Space.

This is covered by FAQ 1.0. The enslaved player is set free.
