Calling out Dark Heresy players and gamemasters from London. I know atleast two groups in London play Dark Heresy, so by deduction we must be many many more

Steve Ellis
Run a game near Windsor - 5 players
Myself, Narissa and our crew are Sarf of the River, wimbledon/croydon direction
I'm with the Dragons on the Hill guys, Central London. Always on the lookout for someone running WFRP or DH (as I'm the only bugger who seems to do so!)
You know with so many people, we could have our own Dark Heresy convention in London. The WFRPers just had theirs (TimCon as part of ShadowCon over in Northfields) but we could get a pub upstairs room off Oxford Street (Black Horse) one Saturday or Sunday and run 2-3 tables in two 4 hour slots and show off our games.
Or have a London DH meetup one day

*Makes plans to go to London*
Also, does anyone know if Forbidden Planet stock DH books? I didn't see any last time I was in there, there was WFRP, but I was ogling at the scale model of a predator
Yep they do- go down the stairs and turn left for the RPG section. FP have quite a nice selection of RPGs (including such treasures as Unknown Armies) so they must have a gamer on staff doing the ordering as its not all D&D.
If you cant find the book you need there, head along the same road towards Charing Cross road. On Earlham street you'll find Orc's nest which is where I bought my very expensive copy of Tattered Fates.
Playin' Games used to be good but hasnt really re-supplied for the past few months as it keeps changin management. Its DH collection is... limited to say the least.

Orcs Nest FTW.
A compact & bijou store, some good stuff in there, take a while to look around and chat to the staff.
You can normally ring them up and ask if they have an item in stock and ask them to hold it for you as well if you intend to visit within the next couple hours of foning (unless if they have loads of the item your after)
I'm not a fan of Orcs Nest - the staff dont 'chat', the books are sealed and cannot be opened for browsing, there are no discounts, ever and its the most unfriendly LGS going. Playin Games used to be briliant but its fallen on hard times.

I got the same impression as SJE from Orcs Nest :/ Well, maybe FP will have resupplied on DH by the time I next visit

Indeed, apparently the key to getting any sort of response from the staff is mentioning mini painting...
The lack of browsing does suck, I can understand why they do it but it makes the shop useless if you arent entirely sure you want to buy something
