Sister mary : blessing system?

By madnurse, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Hi , i have played Arkham Horror for one month and i have been interristing by an "errata" on the Nun : Sister Mary.

This investigator should be avoid the blessing check or use 2 dice for it.

are an official errata taking this system or it's an alternative rule?

Sorry for my poor english.

Edit : Where do you stock all erratas of this game (with often update)?

Dont know if there is an official change to Sister Mary, but we play with the rule, that she can spend clue tokens on the blessing roll.

That one was suggested by the creator himself. We're using that rule, too, only with increasing costs.

So, if she would lose her blessing by rolling a 1 for the first time in the game, she may spend 1 clue token to prevent it. The second time this would happen she needs 2 clue tokens for a re-roll and so on.

You'll find plenty of Errata and FAQ in the thread entitled "Official Answers from Kevin Wilson", by the way.

No houserules on Sister Mary for me. She keeps her Blessing quite a while when I'm playing her anyway.

I prefer houserules like Shotgun vs Physical Immunity, roll all the 6s you want, they still count as 1 success each.

Ah, the house rules that make games harder. My group and me tended to use plenty of them, too... but mostly because we got it wrong XD

Plus, whenever we're not 100% sure about a rule, we choose the interpretation that makes the game harder. We had a perplex time after the clarification for final battles was posted...

Lately, I re-read the BGW rules just to realise you can actually lose your corruption cards... poor goat herald got somewhat weeker all of a sudden.

That Shotgun rule is less about making the game harder (how many Shotties are there in the Common Item deck anyways, 2?) and more about it making sense.

BGotW Herald still has a nice bite thanks to the doomer for monster surge gui%C3%B1o.gif . I've never really felt I would be losing a game because of the Corruption cards. Or that they particularly added much in terms of difficulty.
