I thought this was posted before but can't find it now. When someone enters the village or city, they have to encounter one of the 3 people there. Can you go to the blacksmith if you don't buy anything there, or the doctor if you don't get any healing? I'd say no because you can't choose an option where you don't do something but it's not really clear in the rules.
Village and City
You need to do something, can't just visit for no effect. Which is why I tend to avoid the City if I'm at full health and don't have anything to Alchemy, I'll be forced to encounter the Enchantress
.
Village Mystic I don't mind, there are no negative results in that chart (dependant on certain Objects/Followers whether alignment change is a bad thing).

Can't really for my part that it "has become" as I've never seen alignment change a big deal. And at least with FFG version, you have a shot at becoming Evil, which used to be 1 card in the whole Adventure deck vs permanent Good-machine that was the Village.
I still hate it that you can't become neutral by the mystic
How can FFG ever change that.... ( maybe a new board.... city expansion.. to fix that bug...

Huh? I thought the alignment rules were the same in all editions. Did something change in the new version?
There are many changes especially with new objects and fate - evil characters can gain it at Graveyard. Generally evil alignment have an advantage upon good and I think it should change in future expansions. There is lots of places where Evil can heal a life but Good usually have a problem to gain fate... Objects for Evil characters are much more powerful (Runesword, Book Of Diablerie, Homunculus) than for good (Holy Graal). At least Special Abillities of Evil characters (Dark Cultist) are preety much more usefull than good (Knight).
