The End.

By Mt_Do, in UFS General Discussion

Well it has come to this, but hey it was a good run while it lasted. While some of you may already be aware, it might be a good idea for me to address what has been going on with the Commit 1 Podcasts. As you proably notice, we haven't put up any announcements about new episodes. The truth is that the podcasts will no longer be done by us. In short, as the title states it is the end. But no worries, you will proably be getting a new podcast from the folks at FFG. Which is not too shabby because they can proably acquire better editing and sound quality stuff so you guys can have something to listen to.

We at Commit One Podcast thank all of you for listening in and joining us for UFS related topics. Some of you liked it and some of you hated it and I have no doubt that you will all have something to say. As for the guests, thanks for joining us on our short lived journey. (Short lived for me, a little longer for Scott and Scuba and Surreil.) You guys are all cool mofu's in my book. Anyways, remember to always keep it sexy. Peace and good night.

Sad face =(

The last one was really good =(

And now how am I supposed to remember to keep it sexy without you reminding me? ;_;

frowny face is frowning

I quite enjoyed listening to the podcasts as they came out. It kept me well informed about the SotG, without it being the SotG, y'know?

Sorry to see this end.

What brought this about?

Is there any way you guys could keep this going independently then? You guys made a good crew for a podcast and i'd much rather hear one from a group of players than a company no offense to FFG.

Hey guys sorry I haven't posted about this either . In short this is what happened I emailed Steve for the May SOTG he basically said he couldn't be on the show anymore . I took it ok no more SOTG we will live so I asked about deck discussions and interviews would still be ok. He said he couldn't host those on the site anymore . I didn't dig deeper then that as Steve stated FFG will be doing their own show. Honestly we as a group felt even if we continued the show most of you would want to hear the show from FFG. Another issue is competition we as players support FFG and it would feel weird going against the company we support. I know its a lot to swallow but it ultimately came down to we want our show to be heard by the masses to get as many players as possible into UFS . Then also the goal is to get players fine tunned for the big event as we do with the resource discussions. I see a lot of people want it to continue if we can find some way to get it to work let us know . We would have to find a new site to host our show believe me I dont want it to end I love doing the show more then you think. I promote the hell out of it if there is a way to keep it alive for you guys get with us and we will make it happen.

But if this is truly the end ,

I want to thank all the listeners your comments weather it was harsh or flattering we loved to hear them . We had a blast talking about deck to the champions and to Steve and the various other member of FFG .

Special thanks to all our guests:

Ryan Riley, Vik Sareen , Gravelord , Nick Okatu , Megageese, Sir Shajir , Shaneth , Marco , Omar, Protoattict, and Jon Herr

Thanks so much guys hopefully you guys can take everything we did to help the game or maybe this isn't the end

1) Find place to store that will not cost you a dime (yes they do exist just look around the Interwebz)
2) Place link in off-topic forum in unofficial podcast post.
3) ????
4) Profit

You get to keep goin', I get to keep hatin'. It's a win-win.

It's wouldn't be so much competition as it would be an outside view. You would be able to discuss things in a free manner since you're not bound by any company contracts. I don't know how many folks would want to see an FFG podcast but all the posts here show preference to your show. As Homme pointed out there are ways to continue and at the very least there's always youtube :P

Again, I'm only doing this because they like doing it. I haven't listened to a podcast ever (even the ones I'm on WAY WAY back - I tend to think I stank up the joint badly).

So, after being on 3 show I don't get a thanks too... *Tear, Tear*

Sweet now Scubba can stop clogging up all the threads with crap about the podcasts. Since he seemed to have to beat it into your skull that he was doing podcasts. Rest of the crew had the decency to not brag about it every chance they got. Not him
