I am having a really hard time finding this game. Is it because of the holiday season, or was it short printed?
On the plus side, I am so excited for this game that I ordered Season 1 on my Ipod. Can't wait to watch it.

Being a fan will help you appreciate the game more. The show suits itself to the boardgame perfectly!
This is available on lots of online retailers so do check them out. I've seen them for sale at Troll and Toad, Thoughthammer, Boulder Games, Boards and Bits, Timewellspent etc.
Now, availability here in Australia on the other hand...
The game does seem to have a high demand. My FLGS (Friendly Local Games Store) has had a hard time stocking this game. Of their initial order they got exactly one copy. Fortunately they knew I was interested and held it for me. They have re-ordered and hope to get more copies by today.
I ordered this the 2 days before Thanksgiving from "Boardsandbits.com" and received it on the 2nd of December. I have ordered from them and "Thoughthammer.com" many times and have always gotten good service and speedy deliveries. Now I just have to find time to learn how to play it ! Good luck in your search.
All five stores I contacted in the Portland, OR area did not have the Battlestar game, and all the distributors who work with this region show the game is out of stock. One of stores said they had a waiting list of people who wanted to order the game.
FFG, whose games my wife and I love (yeah Descent!), have issues with ordering correct amounts for first prints (i.e. Altar of Despair). I also believe they received Tome of Ice from their manufacturers in China, and all five stores here in Oregon rolled their eyes when trying to pin down a FFG delivery date. They have a poor reputation with the store owners in that regard.
Top knotch game design, top knotch videos with the new website. They just need to get the quantities and delivery dates part of the company up to the same quality level.
Short story long, if you want this game, grab it from the online sellers now before it becomes an E-bay feeding frenzy.

Same here. Luckily I went down to California for Thanksgiving and the store there had multiple copies, for $40 no less.
We had a very large initial order, but demand skyrocketed after people played it at GenCon and PAX in August. We were able to piggyback a second, even larger, printing on top of the first one. That second printing is making it to stores this week.

I assume Corey is already bathing in a pool of dollar bills.

I was fortunate enough to get part of a second shipment from Amazon. When I'm finally stateside in a few days, I'll have a chance to open the box and check things out. I think this is the first board game I've ever been this excited about.
