At what point does a character become "too good"?

The only problem i have with olcadan's (besides it being overlypowerful) is that it is unaccessible to even people with money. My playgroup of 6 doesnt even have a playset combined. I would love to see it go only because of the unacessability.

Really? I alone in my group have 9 of it, and I'm pretty certain that every single other person within my two playgroups here have a playset, even the guy who came out for a total of about 2 months has 6 of it. Perhaps you should be complaining to someone or trying to get more, because as much as I hate to say it, that stupid card is pretty much needed in alot of decks.

Yeah I'm in the same boat. I and the two people I play with have no copies as we just started the game. I haven't found any on ebay. When and how was this promo available? Not being too familiar with the game, I can't and won't throw in a useless two cents on what's broken or not, but I will say that it does kinda suck that some of the best cards are super rare or promo. But such is the collectible card game market. I don't really agree with the promo side however. Things like that which are so utility and must have should be readily accessible to all players even if it means trying to pull it in a pack. I'm in the opinion that promos and exclusives are cool but should be more niche and less staple if not everyone can get them.

For a beginner your insight is cream of the crop. Your swag, I'm guessing, must be turned on 24/7

We the players have already expressed such agreements, which is why you'll likely never see anything BUT characters in starter deck display kits, as opposed to last year's Blood Runs Trues.

Olcadan's was part of a "shop" theme where each week your shop should've gotten a new shop asset. In order to have gotten Olcadan's (which I believe was week 3), you had to have paid 20. In other words, 1 box = playset.

Although I agree with action taken towards Olcadan's, the other side of the argument is simply that it ISN'T as bad as people make it out to be, which I've been in so many situations where my opponent did the, "Crap, which of his amazing foundations do I want to give him?" dance.

I dont think this is 100% true. I've yet to see her played on void, and I would much rather front akuma or Mence on Void because of thier character only support or character abilities. For air and water i cant speak to well, but I cant see how she can really just be swapped in for some characters, like momentum felica and her unique ability set. Undenyably she is better than alot of characters on respective symbols, but i dont think all, and honestly there typically is one or 2 characters per symbol who always shine. Its just the way the game plays out.

Main void with a dash of whatever else symbol would be very good, honestly. I'd try it if it wasn't freaking Chun-Li. There's just so many bad stuff you can pull on your opponent on their turn off Void (Akuma's Shoryureppa, Sardine Beach Special to name a few).

Chun-li + sworn vengeance + Akuma's shoryureppa + ways of punishment

Step 1: Chun -li's R

Step 2: Play Akuma's reppa.

Step 3: Use Ways of punishment

Step 4: Somehow get two momentum.

Step 5: ?????

Step 6: PROFIT!

Already ahve and while i've got to say teh combo is Fantastic when it goes off it's not as consistent or as good as Air/water Chun-li.

Now Feline spike backed by ways on their turn, good god almighty. sorpresa.gif

How can anyone say Water Spike Chun Li is good? Water's ONLY means of momentum gain is Natural Leader(comapred to Air's Natural/Makai/White Magic). On top of that with no Owl defense Water will never be able to keep the leader on the board so they will never pull off the multiple. Yes I am aware that you can splash cards of other element's but in a straight water you are better off without spike and without spike Chun Li aint that great off of water. There are a lot of characters that can run Water a whole lot better than her. So the only element that she really can run better than anyone is air.
