Traveling Jeweler and Reckless

By Wrecking Ball, in 2. AGoT Rules Discussion

Can I use Traveling Jeweler to save Reckless when it is discarded with the character and return the reckless to my hand?

Yes.

When a character leaves play, its attachments are discarded as a passive game effect. There is a separate save/cancel opportunity for the attachment being discarded after the save/cancel opportunity associated with however the character leaves play.

Thats what I thought but I wanted to make sure.

~Is Andrew building a Targ deck for Sunday with some OoH attachments and recursion? :P

Sorry, that wasn't a rules question... how about: I was looking through the Legacy FAQ and couldn't find anything... but wasn't Tower of Pyke limited to Once Per Turn or Once per Phase?

The cards heyday essentially predated me... but someone got it out in Highlander Melee, and it was f'in brutal. I wasted my Iron Price destroying it, rather than the Bitterbridge Tourney Grounds that won a different player the game... I should have just waited to play my Endless Raid again next turn... (assuming I won a challenge necessary to pick it up), but I was scared.

Tower of Pyke was not given any sort of limit. It is one of two "poster children" for the "one Response per trigger" rule (the other being WES/CS-Robb), though.

So yeah, I'm assuming it was picking up 3 extra power a round because in Melee, there always seems to be someone to win an unopposed challenge against?

Don't forget that Tower of Pyke was also non unique. Luckily there was so much kill and location control back in the day it was easily taken care of.

You mean non-unique like the Joust Tourney Grounds? Though they did have the advantage of Event Immunity to compensate for their errata-given limit.

Didn't you say it was Highlander/Legacy? So in a way, everything was "unique" in that Melee game?

I forgot it was highlander. Whenever I build a classic deck my goal is to build it around LIV and just use search plots to get it back every turn, haha.

Heh. Try this: dupe it, then when you use it, the dupe hits the discard pile where warship recursion gets real interesting in Classic.
