the current ruling on this, i believe, is that the game only remembers what you do in the turn your on so even if it tried to look back it sees nothing.
It's in a single turn. Game state memory won't keep that information over multiple turns unless a card specifically requests it ("This attack gets +X damage, X equals the number of attacks you discarded from your card pool last turn".. such an ability will likely never be made, however, since it'd add a need for tracking another number which oftentimes wouldn't be needed for anything).
