I've got a rather large group of people (10+) coming to play games tonight, much more than usual and I'm kind of tired of the fallback large group game of Killer Bunnies or Are you a Werewolf or some variation on that, that we usually do. I thought I'd break out Talisman, there's a ton of characters and other than running out of tokens, cards and the game running longer b/c of the extra people is there anything else that should make me think twice about trying this game out with a large group?
Talisman with more than 6 players.
I have never played with a group that large. I imagine that charaqcter attrition will be high.
I think that the inheritence rules are in order. Everyone gets delt three characters and those are there decendants if a character dies.
Keep all food and beverages away from the game table.
I can not guess if the Reaper will cause more problems or not. My instinct says leave it out.
Use a wooden dish to roll dice in, it keeps them from scattering pieces and you can just pass the tray when your turn is done.
Practice lots of annoying sounds and phrases for the people turned into toads.
Perhaps use the rules for shortened games.
Have fun...I wish I had your problem!
