The Raynor "Make Do With Little" Leadership card and the Terran repair card

The Make Do With Little card says:

1) Place in your play area.

2) Each time you execute a build order, you may build 1 free worker or transport.

3) Each of your 'Research and Development" and "supply" modules are treated as 2 modules of the same type."

Questions:

2) Does this apply to a Special Build also? So I could get two free workers (one from the card, one via the discount) or two free transports?

3) What does this mean? We took it to mean that if you build one supply module, your build limit is +2 (as if you have two supply depots, building two supply modules would result in +4 build limit) and if you build one R&D, you can execute two special orders, as if you had 2 R&D modules. Is this right, or are we totally off base?

The repair card:

(Something along the lines of) "Gain +1 health and, if able, move one of your workers from your available worker pool and place it in your unavailable worker pool."

We took this to mean that you always get the +1 health (for the mechanical units) and if you have a worker available, put him into the unavailable pool. This seems silly, as it would make sense that you only get the +1 health if there is a worker that can actually do the repairs. So as it is written, you always get the +1 health, so you might as well use all workers before you fight with this card. Is there some official clarification or is this a "house rule" thing?

I believe that you are correct in all three of your questions.

1} I'm not sure that there is any case where there is actually a difference between Build and Special Build except from the R&D limitations.

2} Double means double. So you're right. 1x2 = 2, 2x2 =4 etc.

3} There is an official answer for this question. If you have a free worker then you must move him to the unavailable pool for this turn. If you haven't any free workers then you just do the repairs. In other words the "+1 Health" part of the card always happens. The "make 1 worker unavailable" part is something you must do IF you have a worker to move. If you haven't, then you don't move anything and you gain the +1 Health regardless.

Ok, thanks! I/we still think its a bit wierd to get the +1 health no matter what, but if thats what the designers intended, so be it. I don't suppose you know the reasoning being it?

I think that if the card couldn't apply if you had no free workers the value of the card would be quite low considering the strength of the basic reinforcements cards of the other races (protoss being +1 H to anybody ). In order to use that card efficiently, you need to plan your affairs, because the time you will want to play it, it will screw up all your oncoming plans. It's a compromise.

Ah, that is a good point. The zerg get the researched +1 health cards and the free +1 attack cards, and the protoss get the free +1 health card. Good call!

Would I need to be able doing a legal build in order to get the free worker/transport? Meaning, have I have a base on the planet where I want to benefit from it?

I guess so. You need to have a base on the active planet to be able to build workers/transports... That makes the point...
