Influence as a Force Emergent?

By Andhrimnir, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Potentially silly question.

I'm looking at running an AoR/EotE campaign in the near future. One of my players is curious whether he could be a Force Emergent (AoR) with the Influence force power (EotE). I don't initially see any reason why he couldn't, but the fact that each book has 3 separate powers, and that each book is supposed to be independent has me curious if the force powers in one book are meant for that book's force user only?

Thoughts?

Absolutely no problem mixing the powers from one book with the Force Sensitive Spec from another.

As you can see, the only prerequisite for The force powers in Both AoR and EotE is Force Rating 1+, so any character with a Force Rating (Emergent or Exile) can begin purchasing those powers.

The books are certainly meant to be able to stand on their own (i.e., you don't need to own both to run either of them) but they are also designed to be cross-compatible. There's no reason, for example, that a Smuggler/Scoundrel couldn't go Force Sensitive Emergent or even Commando if it struck their fancy. The Force powers are the same way.

Perfect! That's exactly what I thought, and would have gone with. It's just nice to get that verification that I'm not missing something else! I've ran a small EotE campaign before, but this is my first time in AoR.

Yeah, the "Independent" part of each rulebook is that you will never need an EotE or F&D rulebook or supp to play an AoR campaign. All the critical and iconic roles, specs, gear, vehicles, ect. is (or will be) available within the product line.

What you want is another matter entirely....

I'm currently running a Force Emergent with the Forsee force power and was wondering about asking my GM about picking up Sense and Move force power eventually as part of my character's development.

The character is the daughter of a former Storm Trooper and a lady from an important Imperial family whose family split them up as he wasn't considered suitable as her husband.

When he left with their daughter she took along with her a fake holocron which was thought a simple child's toy so didn't catch anyone's attention THEN.

My character eventually managed to unlock it discovering its actually a data archive for her Grandfather's memoirs this one dealing with his service during the Clone Wars as he was a researcher it was quite extensive on what was going on (as in military activities not specifically jedi related barring the normally released information before the Empire took charge).

Her father learning about this used the information to salvage equipment to pay for their livelihood and passage into the Outer Rim.

Anyway I think those two powers would be useful for little stuff nothing flashy but might be a good way to go with the character and this thread was something I was looking around for about hings like this!

Much obliged.
