Fastest legitimate 8-player game

I was just wondering what the fastest legitimate game people have played with a large group? By legitimate, I mean the decks haven't been stacked and the game wasn't ended prematurely through Massa der Requiem or Call Ancient One.

This past weekend, my game group decided to see how fast Yig would go paired with the Black Goat Expansion and the herald. By the end of the first turn, we had 5 doom tokens.

1 from the starting mythos card, 1 from a cultist that was spawned from the gate, 1 from an encounter that opened a gate, 1 from another encounter that opened a gate, 1 from the mythos card at the end of the turn. There would have actually been a fourth gate open that turn, but Kate drew that encounter, so no dice.

Next turn, 1 doom token was added from the death of a Dark Druid and 1 more from a monster surge. Up to 7 now!

Next turn, 1 doom token was added from killing a Child of the Goat and then our game was prematurely ended through Call Ancient One (I so dislike that spell). Given our rapid pace though, I'm pretty confident the game would have ended in the next turn.

Any others?

it wasn't me, but I recall one unfortunate fellow who summoned the AO on the first turn during an 8 player game, where several people got Gated in the encounter phase, and woke up the AO on too many open gates. Don't think it can get much faster than that.

Yeah, that would've happened to us had anybody but Kate decided to go to the lodge and have the encounter that she ended up drawing.

I thought monster surges don't add doom tokens, am I mistaken, or not?

Well, you could've just left the poor Cultist alone. Why'd you go and kill him lengua.gif ? If you don't kill him, Yig doesn't care.

They don't but the OP said they were using the BGotW Herald which fixes the "yay, monster surge, no doom token" problem by having you add a doomer for a surge gui%C3%B1o.gif .
