"Imperial Headhunters"

-------------------

Soontir Fel - 27

Push the Limit - 3

Stealth Device - 3

Turr Phennir - 25

Veteran Instincts - 1

Stealth Device - 3

Bounty Hunter - 33

Rebel Captive - 3

98pts(Big initiative bid, because I REALLY want to shoot first with Interceptors)

Not bad, but I would change out Rebel Captive for Recon Spec and the SDs for Hull.

You kind of want the enemy to target your Firespray first. Don't give him a reason to avoid shooting at it. Throw that Firespray in at close range to tangle and then hit him on the flanks with the squints. Solid squad though.

New to you but ancient when it it comes to how long it has been played. Except for the Rebel Captive you've just got a wave 2 squadron listed.

Which means it's forgotten, possibly a good thing?

You say that like it's a bad thing.

Or I can go this route...

Soontir Fel - 27

Push the Limit - 3

"Whisper" - 32

Veteran Instincts - 1

Advanced Cloaking Device - 4

Bounty Hunter - 33

100pts

Or......

Turr Phennir - 25

Veteran Instincts - 1

Stealth Device - 4

"Whisper" - 32

Veteran Instincts - 1

Advanced Cloaking Device - 4

Bounty Hunter - 33

99pts

Or even...

Soontir Fel - 27

Royal Guard TIE - 0

Push the Limit - 3

Stealth Device - 3

Hull Upgrade - 3

"Whisper" - 32

Veteran Instincts - 1

Advanced Cloaking Device - 4

Not necessarily but rather it has "left the collective conscious." I didn't mean it to be a "bad thing" but more something that a search may possibly turn up lot of information about.

In general a Firespray and two Interceptor can make a useful squadron although how well it does in a tournament setting can vary. Stealth Devices are at home on Interceptor and with two PS 9 attackers you may get the jump on those Phantoms that show up these days and the Bounty Hunter is a tough ship with the Rebel Captive making it a bit riskier to attack.

Omicron Group Pilot - 21

Gunner - 5

Weapons Engineer - 3

With this last one I'm going to suggest dropping the Weapons Engineer and putting in an Engine Upgrade giving you the buzz-saw shuttle with a bit of speed.

Some may also suggest a Targeting Computer on Fel allowing him the potential to TL his opponents.

I ran something like this at a rebel aces pre-launch event Tuesday. Went undefeated.

Krassis trelix, HLC, rec spec

Carnor jax, ptl

Royal guard pilot, ptl

Start on opposit ends of the board. Krassis does 4 speed until he clears the roids, then he bring the HLC to bear. Squints do squint things. Flank flank flank.

If you're lucky, the enemy bites towards the firespray. Worst case scenario, the force splits and the squints boost and barrel to the far side of the board.

4 interceptors

Fel with push 30

Royal guard with veteran instinct 23

Royal guard with veteran instinct 23

Kir kanos 24

Leaving you with pilot skill 9 8 8 6. or drop a royal guard add howl runner with swarm tactic and leaving you with 3 points for a hull upgrade or stealth device on fell. Also making it so your entire list fires at pilots skill 8 or better

Other wise I liked your first list the best. But would replace the veteran instinct for swarm tactic and change rebel captive for a recon specialist.

Soontir Fel - 27

Push the Limit - 3

Stealth Device - 3

Targeting computrt

Turr Phennir - 25 push the limit

Stealth Device - 3

Vader with engine upgrade stealth device and swarm tactics

The everybody shoots at ps9 and can boost and barrel+roll every turn(lots of skill required but if you don't face a turret they should never have a shot at you
