YT-1300 Builds for Post Wave 5

By Corellian Corvette, in X-Wing

Chewie+R2D2+C-3PO or Flight Instructor+C-3PO? The first allows +2 'health' a turn that they need to cut though in order to damage it further, and unlike evades, the shield will say in between rounds if not used. The second build on the other hand has better anti-swarm defense, where pilot skill 2 and bellow will trigger FI almost all the time.

But I want to know, which one is more effective in general. I have used R2D2 a bit with han, and he seems to save my life more often than not; however, I lack experience with FI.

Also experimental interface+falcon title seems to be a good combo, freeing up the EPT for other actions than PtL.

Another idea is recon specialist and then Jan (crew in another ship) so whenever you preform a focus action, you get the first focus turned into an evade and an additional focus out of the deal. (I think that's how it would work.)

So, if that works you could have: Han+Recon+Lando+PtL and a hwk or something with Jan at range 3 and get 1-3 focus tokens and 1-3 evade tokens a turn.

I am trying to get a 150 point supertanky YT-1300 or two list set up. I don't have reb aces or the outrider yet, but I plan on getting both!

Can you guys think of a better setup for tanky-ness? I would like to hear your ideas! :D

For the love of god, no more tanky falcons! Think of the children! End this meta madness!

I am thinking of the children! And this is why I need your help!

By designing a tankier Falcon, I will lose less children laden freighters as they make their perilously journey from the violent outer rim to the peaceful and prosperous core worlds.

The border crossing is fright with danger as pirates, imperials, and vigilanties try to plunder, destroy, and free the slaves children. If I get a tankier falcon, more children will make it to the factories refugee camps on Alderaan, where they will be safe and will never need to worry about violence again.

I hope that by designing better falcons, I can reduce my ship loss rate by 50%! Think of all the kids we can profit off of save!

He just copied and pasted his response from the "How Can I Maximize Profit Potential and Transportation Costs in my Alderaanian Factories by Using Child Labor and Slavery" thread, but edited it a little. Frankly I'm sick of this guy posting the same thing over and over, we need to get a moderator in here.

Wait what? Where can I find this forum thread? I must read it NOW

Here is a build I came up with for chewy though it's probably already been done

Chewy

Determination

R2-D2

C3p0

Engine upgrade

Falcon title.

Once you have no shields use r2.

If you flip up a card and it is a pilot trait then discard it with determination.

I haven't tried this yet but hopefully Thursday

Why doesn't the YT-1300 have a turret slot? That really seems strange...

This doesn't work, Determination only kicks in if you are dealt the damage card, it doesn't work if you flip one face up.

Well that's too bad.

I was thinking that but then thought that you were dealt the card and it later becomes face up.

So no go

If you use recon specialist and Jan, do you get an evade token and a focus, or just an evade token when you preform a focus action?

The correct answer is you use Dash Rendar. I've been playing him a ton since Gen-Con in multiple configurations and after my baptism by fire at a FalconTank heavy Nationals I think this might be the new thing as it were.

Han Solo

-Kyle Katarn

-C3PO

-PTL

-Title

-Engine Upgrade

After turn one you have a reliable 3 actions per turn vessel that will be able to dish out damage and avoid 2 per round (or maneuver for the firepower 4 shot). Two Greens with Predator fill out the list.

You can switch out ptl for experimental interface, and that leaves a free EPT slot!

You'd have to ditch the Engine Upgrad though, which is going to help a lot with avoiding the range one shots, etc. With PTL, you're still getting full use of your evade, boost and target lock, not to mention the focus from Katarn (or double focus).

you sir won the internet.

No change, because Gunner/Luke + C3P0 is still the optimum configuration.

My bad, I thought Experimental Interface could trigger the Falcon title card, but on closer inspection, it says it adds the evade directly to the action bar.

Also, what do people think about bodyguard?

*Bodyguard: 2pts

You may spend a focus and increase the agility of a higher PS ship at range one by one. Or something to that effect.

Have a recon chewiee escorting a YT-2400 with flight instructor and have the mod to obscure targets and Wham, a Dashing freighter with 4 agility and a reroll every time it defends from an attack. Who needs threepio anyways?
