A lot of CCGs require you to use sleeves with opaque backs in tournaments. Is this true of 40k:conquest? I'm asking this because I love clear sleeves because I want to be able to see the back of the card. But when playing mtg, I never use clear sleeves in tournaments because they are not allowed.
Tournament rules on sleeves
hmm looking at the Netrunner Tournament rules:
Page 2-3
Card Sleeves
For all competitive and premier events, players are required to use protective sleeves for their decks. Sleeves for each deck must all be identical and cards must be placed in these sleeves in an identical manner. If a player’s deck contains alternate art cards, the sleeves must be art sleeves or opaque. Players can use different sleeves for their Corporation and Runner decks. Cards that are not shuffled into a deck, such as identity or click tracker cards, are not required to be sleeved. No card sleeves are required for casual events, but players are encouraged to usesleeves to protect their cards.
So apparently as long as you don't use alternate are cards, you can use clear sleeves. If you use alternate art cards, then your sleeves have to be art sleeves or opaque.
I'm hoping that that go with this for 40k:conquest
To clarify: Art sleeves must also be opaque (They usually are)
Also, there are already sleeves for sale with the eaxct image of Conquest card backs.

yeah I've never seen non-opaque art sleeves.
But yea, I have a setup that I always use with other card games. KMC perfect fits into KMC Hyper-matte clear. To me there is no better setup. If I don't use Hyper-matte clears, then I use Dragon shield clears (with the kmc perfect fits), which is pretty good too.
Generally, LCGs allow you to use clear sleeves unless you are playing with alt-art cards from the various events. This is because the alt-art cards are slightly larger (a different printer and/or template, I believe), so you can tell them apart from "standard" cards by look and by feel if you are not using opaque sleeves - effectively marking the cards. If you are just using the "standard" cards from Core and monthly packs, clear sleeves are fine.
There is no reason to think this game will be any different.
