I played my second tournament the other day. It was just a small local in Columbus, OH.
I ran:
Bounty Hunter + Tactician
Bounty Hunter + Tactician
Soontir Fel + PTL
First round I was up against my friend
His list:
Wedge
Airen Cracken + Vet Instincts
Dutch + Ion turret
Gold + ion turret
The game went fairly quick. I thought I was in trouble during the initial pass Fel took an ion hit and one of my BHs had some heavy damage. however after that pass with the stress piling up on the Y wings I was able to action deny and clean up.
100-0 victory
Round 2:
Kyle Katarn + mold crow + rec spec. + blaster turret
Tarn Mison
Rookie
2x Bandits
I thought this round was gonna be cake I came in with all my ships behind Kyle but the dice weren't in my favor. He was able to slowly whittle down one bounty hunter, and one shot Fel.
His other ships came around and finished off my last BH kyle had 1 HP left.
0-100 loss
Round 3:
2x Gold + ion turret + proton torpedoes
2x Gold + ion turret
I started with an early K turn to make sure I didn't get ionized off the side or though asteroids. In the first round of shooting I was able to knock out one of the proton torp golds first round of shooting. I spread the stress across the other ships starting with the other proton torp gold. I continued to pick them off one at a time.
100-0 victory
Round 4:
Lando + gunner
Blount + assault missiles
Wedge
quick fun match. My BHs made quick work of wedge and took the assault missile head on. Fel flanked around behind. I hard turned my Firesprays for the last shot on wedge and to block his falcon and z95 which worked perfectly. finished wedge that turn and Fel one shot Blount from behind. One of my firesprays died from the Stunned pilot crit it received from an earlier hit. Fel and the other BH then continued to pick off lando.
100-35 victory
Overall I placed second and got and alt art Biggs card. The tournament was a lot of fun and I hope to play in more soon (they are fairly uncommon here).
As for the list I really enjoyed it the stress induction was much more effective than I even hoped it would be. Forcing the opponent to either be very predictable of have no actions.
I hope to post more reports and likely much more well written in the future with turn by turn analysis instead of overall, unfortunately today I am short on time and running on memory alone instead of having pics/notes.
