The Bounty Hunter Code

By HappyDaze, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Just picked this up from B&N for $20 (and you can get it for less from Amazon). It's a great resource for anyone playing a Bounty Hunter and practically required reading for groups playing a campaign centered on members of the Bounty Hunters Guild. It makes me anxious to pick up a FFG Bounty Hunter expansion, so I hope it's out soon.

Nice. I've been waiting for this book to be released in just the book format. Just ordered it. It should be a nice companion to The Jedi Path and Book of Sith I have.

Are these novels? Or like "handbooks?"

Hand book. It's 160 pages long and about 5"x8" hardcover.

Nifty stuff in it like how contracts are provided to hunters, the legal standing of bounty hunters, and guidelines on how big bounties should be. You also get a bit more info on the subsidiary houses of the Guild (and what % they claim from your bounties). Overall, lots of fluff that's perfect for the game.

Ugh. I'm in a self-imposed state of poverty. The fates are conspiring against me.

Don't feel bad. I'm between jobs right now myself. Of course, as an RN, I can pick up per diem work as I need it and I start my master's next month with all the joys of pulling from excess financial aid, so maybe its not the same thing.

Good luck on your master's.

Welcome to the club. I'm sitting on my hands waiting on a second job that'll bring me up to full time work.

That said, I'm definitely putting this on my Amazon wishlist. It should tie me over until the Bounty Hunter sourcebook is released (which I suspect will be the last one).

The material in this really makes me think that Duty (from AoR, redirected to the BHG rather than the Rebellion) works well for a bounty hunter game.

I saw this and plan on picking it up next payday. I'm going to show it to my GM as it has some nice pieces of gear in it....love the moth remote. I also like the hand written notes from the various Bounty Hunters and Hondo Ohnaka.

Yeah, it is a great book. I actually have the special displays for all three sitting on my desk next to my Lego Millennium Falcon, Death Star, and X-wing.

You don't get it with just the book, but the Making a Killing Pamphlet by Cradossk is also a great read.

Also The inserts are neat, like the Han Solo Wanted Poster. (250,000 credits on his head with an extra 50,00 for Chewie)

You know, I think I could come to really, really hate you, if you keep posting things like this that make me spend hundreds of dollars.

:) ;) :P :D      :D

It's not the worst reason people have given for hating me.

If I become a bum with nothing to my name except the bounty hunters code. People should probably watch out

Now they need to come out with The Smuggler's Log and Diplomatic Papers.

I really need help converting the Duty selections over to ones appropriate for hunters and their support personnel (expediters, tech support, guards, etc.). Anybody want to take a swing at it?
