Best Upgrades and Support for the CR-90

Recently I have been playing some more epic with my gaming group. And as such I have been getting some more game in with my CR-90. Despite the general thrashing that the internet community has given the thing, it has been doing some work for me and I have been very happy with the results. I wanted to hear your thoughts about what some good combinations or support ships to run were.

I am aware that many out there don't care for this ship, and that is cool. Just save your comments for other threads. What I am looking for are things that people have used that actually worked.

This has worked very well and having a few different tricks and tactics. Dutch in particular has been fun. Getting the coordinate action to TL and then passing it back to the CR-90. Which also interacts nicely with Han Solo. I have played a few times with Roark, and have seen good results with a PS 12 shooting phase, but am not seeing it as a must. The biggest thing I seem on the fence about it the single turbo laser. It seems like a large point investment for poor damage output in my experience. What do you all think? Show some builds, offer some pointers and let's see if we can't get some more mileage out of this ship?

This past weekend I played my first epic games despite purchasing both ships upon their releases.

Might I say I was really enjoying my games until I rammed 2 of my own X-wings and a Y-wing on 1 turn then another Y-wing on the next turn. This was with a Transport.

Next game I used a CR-90. I was flying it around to take full advantage of broadside firing without realizing how vulnerable the aft section was. Back to Back I pulled the crit card "Structural Damage?" that makes you draw to face down damage cards to the fore section.

Even though my morale was temporarily broken I really liked how epic play opens up the game to more possibilities, and can't wait to try it again.

This i how I want to try using both epic ships, next time I play. Haven't nailed down the other ships yet.

The whole premise is to force other ships(This would work best against another CR-90.) to attack the obstructed transport that has 2 evades from a reinforce token and 3 defense dice from the EM Emitter on the CR-90. Throw in 3PO and Chewie for more tankiness. I just turned the GR-75 into Biggs but with more evade results :D

I know this setup will have problems against a multitude of ships, but having the Bright Hope title and Tibanna Gas Supplies I could use Shield Projector twice in a couple of turns.

Also planning on using the Targeting Coordinator to trigger Weapons Engineer, pass off the one TC and save myself from using a TC action. This frees the CR-90 to use its fore action for coordination and that triggers the Dodonna's Pride title
