Star Wars Detours

By R22, in X-Wing

I haven't seen anybody talking about this so I'm going to just leave it here. Totally meant for humor so don't look for serious accuracies... But it's awesome.

There's a few more, check out the side menu. It's a fan tribute that didn't take off as well as it deserved.

Actually this was a series that got put in storage, they did not want people that had never seen star wars to have this as their first impression going into the new trilogy

I don't even think it really made it past the previews you see, there.

It's by Seth Green, of 'Robot Chicken' fame (and, well, Austin Powers, and etc, et al). Back when LucasFilm was flailing about a bit trying to figure out what it wanted to do with its license, as there was No More Story To Tell after the 6 movies. So...this was one of the ideas they were exploring. It actually had pretty decent support behind it - Anthony Daniels was reprising his role as 3P0, Billy Dee Williams was there for Lando, Ahmed Best doing Jar Jar again, Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) was also doing voices, along with Felicia Day, 'Weird Al' Yankovic, etc.

Then Disney bought LucasFilm, and decided 'we are continuing the series of movies', and that was that.

Leia is just like so whatever.

Seth Green said they had the first season made but they put it in the vault for now

So so wrong but so so funny.

Huhm. I don't entirely know what to think but I'd gladly give it a go. Why?

Well. It's Star Wars. So any humor regarding it, I'm sure I'd get a chuckle out of. Now, will I feel bad if it never sees the light of day..?

...Uh, no. Not really. But it looks enjoyable enough. So it'd be neat.

I would've watched this and quoted it endlessly. Robot Chicken Star Wars and the Family Guy Star Wars parodies are my favorite things in the world. Sometimes it's great to let your guard down and laugh at the things you love most.

Can't disagree with that. Blue Harvest and its sequels, alongside the Robot Chicken stuff? Comedy gold.

Robot Chicken Palpatine and Robot Chicken Boba Fett are some of the greatest additions to Star Wars.

funny

Me like. Would be nice if this came back around after VII comes out
