Most of the jumping around occurs in the first three seasons. I think season 4 is when they started being pretty much chronological from that point on.

The TV show goes better as you watch it. They did an amazing job considering how terrible it started. It turned out better than the prequels.

They completely re-did the character of Anakin Skywalker. Now he isnt someone with rage issues (because in the prequels, the only bad thing Anakin does is having rage issues that later he feels bad about them).

Here, he is a right winged hero that is used to win every time. He is good at war and he enjoys it. And when he is faced with a no-win scenario thats when his frustration and desesperation arrive. And the great thing about this, is that during the show his steps into the dark side DONT have negative consecuences. Every time he tortures a prisioner or does something that he shouldnt do, he is rewarded with a victory. THAT is great character development, and it also conflictive for the audience when at some points you "cheer" because he has won.

Besides that, the series also knew how to have fun. It wasnt gritty. It was dark when it needed to be but most of the time it was "fun adventure".

They also managed to insert a lot of Expanded Universe stuff that we fans love. Like having Falleens rule the Black Sun, Bossk and Dengar are around or even the inclusion of the planet Korriban.

It also referenced other movies like the classic Star Wars used to do. There are lots of references to Kurosawa, war movies, Hitchcock, Indiana Jones, Godzilla, Zombie Movies.... Even Pablo Picasso.

There was also an episode in season 5 that was a homage to the TV show CSI: Miami. It had a Droid running the investigation of a bombing named Russo. He had a visor that he kept flipping up and down just like Horatio Cane would do in the TV show.

Don't even mention that accursed show. Clone Wars is like a big knife that decides it wants to cut through every single shred of canon. Oh, and it stopped IC2 from coming out. Not to mention it wrecked Mandalore.

The only thing that I say screw Clone Wars about is the in wrecked the Mandalorians as tiefanatic mentioned. The rest of it was pretty good.

Yeah, yeah, i know. But not all of Omega do. At least not right away. Dar and Niner are the Imperial Army for like a month and a half. And Boba didn't get an Omega clone too, he got Kad/Venku and one of the Nulls to do it. In fact, there were no Omegas involved in the whole thing. Darman > Kad >Omega > Delta. It used to be: Darman > Etain > Kad >Omega > Delta.
