Help your local Star Wars™: The Card Game community learn the ways of the Force with our new Summer 2014 Star Wars: The Card Game Tournament Kits!
GASP (www.gaspgamer.com) will be running a free game night kit event for the Star Wars LCG game, using the Summer 2014 Tournament Kit. We are able to do this through the generosity of our resident game vendor, Chuck-a-Con game sales (
http://www.chuck-a-con.net/
), who has donated these kits to GASP. We're passing the savings onto the gaming community.
The normal $5 charge to attend Games Day will only be collected if you decide to stay and play games the rest of Games Day, otherwise there is no cost to participate in the event (other stores charge $10 or more to play in these). Prizes for Summer 2014 Tournament Kit are listed below. After the event, feel free to stay and game the rest of the day away.
This mini tournament will start promptly at noon, and should go about 4 hours, depending on attendance.
What is a Tournament Kit?
At the beginning of 2014, we divided our seasonal Organized Play kits into Tournament Kits and Game Night Kits. Tournament Kits are for our competitive games, such as Android: Netrunner and X-Wing. These kits now include more prize support and promotional material designed to support competitive or casual tournament play at local retailers. The kit includes a guide to supporting an eight-week tournament series, but it can also be used to host a single tournament, more casual game nights or leagues, or whatever suits your local play environment best.
In addition, each Summer 2014 Star Wars: The Card Game Tournament Kit contains two deck boxes, an exclusive playmat, and 19 alternate art cards—stunning, full-bleed alternate art versions of Grand Moff Tarkin (two copies) and Rogue Three (17 copies).
What’s in the Summer 2014 Star Wars: The Card Game Tournament Kit?
Each Summer 2014 Star Wars: The Card Game Tournament Kit comes with everything a retailer needs to support and grow a local community:
• One playmat depicting Princess Leia Organa
• Two alternate art versions of Grand Moff Tarkin
• Seventeen alternate art versions of Rogue Three
• Two deck boxes: one Leia Organa and one General Veers
