Beta, Australia

By whiteape1, in General Discussion

Hi

Am posting in the hope of getting information, on when the beta may be available within Australian shore, and when it is available, what retailers will be selling the softcover book in Queensland.

I am currently running a EOTE game, and would love to attach some of these rules to my games, or run an entirely new game for this new set of rules.

Thanks

With Age of Rebellion there was no stores in Australia that ordered the beta, you could ask you LGS. If they are not getting it you could then get it online through FFG and others so if you don't mind the postage.

Last year it took a while for the reprint to take place after GenCon, so it took a while for the web store to have a listing for it. I can't remember exactly but it was about 3-6 weeks as I recall. So keep watching for it. Many stores still have AoR books listed, so you should be able to get a copy of F&D if you want it. It isn't like they just opened up a new sale of tickets for the "band of choice" at 10:00am and at 10:01am they are all but sold.

Thanks for the reply mate, will keep my eyes open and will now start checking with my flgs, and other stores nearby.

I had the same issue with Age of Rebellion Beta. This time round I had a friend purchase a copy of F&D at Gen Con for me. I now have it in hand.

I would ring MilSims. Details are at: www.milsims.com.au or try Fast Break at Nundah or Good Games Brisbane.

Ok, your lucky to have a friend attend Gencon for ya. You know a lot about the surrounding are, do you live somewhere near chermside, anyway. I have messaged my FLGS, they are getting four of the book in, sometime in September. Not sure exactly when during September though. I don't generally use goodgames, I find them a little too expensive, which is a shame cause they seem to have really good quality stores.

I live in Murrumba Downs (up the highway). Which is you LFGS? We have very few up my way. Game Traders in Chermside are good but expensive. I can't fault MilSims if you don't mind purchasing online.

Failing that Fast Break at Nundah are great.

I use the Dice Spot in lawnton, I only live in petrie. I haven't ordered from milsims just yet, haven't wanted to for a while, but my store has provided me with everything I've needed so far and for a hood price. Also gametraders seems to have extremely limited stock, that and chermside can be a bit of a travel sometimes.

Ah...so you are north like me. Dice Spot are great.

Yeah I know mate, I'm down there at least twice every week, Thursdays for dnd AL, and any other time I can get free, just to randomly play games, at the mo in looking to organise some form of weekly campaign using the published adventure from FFG.just have to find a time where I can guarantee work won't annoy me

Hey Moon, Do you know of any groups in the area that may be looking for a new players, or at least a site that I could go to to try and find a group, probably for an EOTE game, but soon for FAD cause ill be picking up the book next month.

Not currently aware of any places you can look. There is someone that is looking for players, so drop me a private message with your contact email, and I'll forward your detail on. He lives closeby to me.

If you are on Facebook, look up BrisGames.
