Dash and Corran build

By MasterWalkerofSky, in X-Wing

Do you guys think these 2 can work together? And how would you guy's build them?

They probably can, but it would depend entirely on how you build them. I imagine Dash as kind of a sneaky sniper (Outrider, Heavy Laser Cannon, Recon Specialist and Push the Limit?), and in that capacity he'd need a bodyguard more than a flanker. Keyan maybe? Would be able to squeeze in a cheap A-Wing for flanking, if need be.

That's how i intend to try Dash out, with Corran. Good firepower and mobility.

As I posted in another thread, I want to go Dash, Tycho:

Dash - PtL, Ion Pulse Missile, Engine Upgrade, HLC, Outrider, Kyle Katarn

Tycho - PtL, Proton Rocket, Experimental Interface, A-wing Test Pilot, Daredevil

But I believe you can easily swap Tycho for Corran. Just remove the Ion Pulse and perhaps Engine Upgrade to make room for a couple of upgrades on Corran. :)

Why not wait until dash is reléase and you try it, greettings.

I guess some people already have it :(

I have tried

YT-2400 Dash (36)

HLC (7)

Lone Wolf (2)

Lando (3)
Outrider (5)

Experimental Interface (3)

56pts

Corran Horn (35)

Predator (3)

R2-D2 (4)

42pts

I've had fun with this list but I don't know how strong it is.

I want to try out the same Dash, but Corran + VI + R2D2 + FCS

Yea I've played 3 games with this combo and it turns out Corran is the star, But using lando is fun there was a few times i had a focus token and 2 evades on Dash It made him feel strong.

Hi please critique this

In my humblest of opinions I believe Corran needs VI. He is in this list for damage sure, but his most important role is to counteract Donut Dash's biggest weakness - anything that can get within range one (namely phantoms).

This pairing has long been figured out.....

Dash Rendar (36)

Heavy Laser Cannon (7)

Push The Limit (3)

Outrider (5)

Kyle Katarn (3)

Engine Upgrade (4)

Other wise know as the 58pt Dash

Corran Horn (35)

R2-D2 (4)

Fire Control System (2)

Veteran Instincts (1)

you will see some variants to this list but never really Starying far.

Very powerful build but not the only one.

Ptl dash suffers to high ps pilots closing to range one or ion/stress control lists.

And a blocked dash with no actions and being in multiple arcs is a dead or near dead dash.

Dash with vi is very powerful. Not as much damage output as ptl dash but more manouverability & unpredictability with barrel roll or leebo boost if needed to avoid getting shot.

Corran tooled up with ptl to turtle & regen shields with r2d2/advanced sensors will have opponents in fits.

I usually regen anywhere between 1-15 shields a game. Just don't fly him like a tool & you'll be fine.

Another very cool (and popular) list:

Dash (Lone Wolf, HLC, Recon Specialist, Outrider)

Corran (R2-D2, PTL, FCS, Hull Upgrade)

100 points

I've flown against this variant, and my lord is it a PITA. If you find yourself going against it, I think you really have to go after Corran first. His combination of Focus/Evade/R2D2 makes him tremendously tanky in the end-game, and he'll still get to deal consistent damage thanks to the Fire Control System.

Dash is also very hard to kill thanks to double Focus and a defensive reroll, but he doesn't really get harder to kill in end-game like Corran does.

I just won a local tourny this past Sunday with Dash + Corran...

Dash

-Predator

-Outrider title

-HLC

Corran

-R2D2

-PTL

-FCS

-EU

total -99pts

Used Corran to flank and Dash to zap stuff, was a blast to play. The trick is being careful with deployment and making sure Corran stays alive while also keeping the heat off Dash.

Cheers!
