Star Wars Commander is an iOS only star wars game.

It's not a game, it's a Clash of Clans style time sink.

I started playing it today, it's very very good.

I've bounced off everything I've ever tried that has been called "clash of clans style [X]". I don't mind paying money for games (I'm an X-Wing player! Hello!), but I do mind not being able to tell if I'm bad at a game, or just not paying as much as I "should" be.

Having said that, a great many people seem to be having fun with it, so good on them.

I tried it the other day. It didn't really grab me. Seems like a waist of time. I might give it another chance..

Anyone know if they plan on adding in an android version? I'm addicted to clash of clans & would love to take a look at commander, otherwise I may just play it on the Apple ios emulator on the PC.

Glad I'm not the only one nerdy enough to take note of this. That Hasbro "game" looks like traaassshhhh.

The army men Star Wars Command game would be a lot more fun if I understood exactly what I was supposed to be doing with them. I never played actual army men, and the packaging/advertising seems to indicate they're basically knock-em-down toys.

Which...um...gets old after about 1 minute.

Commander is quite fun, it's slower than CoC tho which I don't mind. It's a good game to pick up do some stuff then walk away. They have been adding stuff regularly too and optimizing it. Still has some bugs to get worked out especially the troops shooting random walls for no reason.

Yeah, I'm noticing that the pathing of the troops isn't that great, and that they like to shoot random walls, which is frustrating. Still very fun, and the sound design is really great.

Let's bring this back to X-Wing.

Star Wars Commander is from LucasArts, owned by Disney. Which means (drumroll, please). All the ships in it are (trumpet here) Canon. That's right, CANON.

I've only played a little bit, but so far, I've seen the Loronar E-9 Explorer-Class Armed Long-Range Scout Vessel (also seen in EoE Enter the Unknown) and the Strix, which looks like the YV-929 Light Freighter (also seen in EoE Dangerous Covenants).

Future X-Wing ships? Wave 10?

Dunno about wave 10 but for those who have never heard of coc, it is an isometric base building tatical game. You get droid builders and in addition to in game reasources everything takes time. I've held myself to $10 lifetime on coc, won't spend any yet on this. But an active guild makes things more fun.
