Wave 5 & Battlefoam

By any2cards, in X-Wing

In case there are any of you out there who utilize Battlefoam for storing your X-Wing miniatures, I thought I would let you know that they now have Wave 5 ship images available in their custom foam design app.

I hate battle foam....never again!!! I'm going with Australian company for my next foam po.

I don't like the company but I do like the foam... I'll have to check it out.

What's wrong with Battlefoam?

Hilarious that my wave 4 BF bag just arrived last week. FFG just will not stop!!

What's wrong with Battlefoam?

Their poor customer service. They got my order wrong twice....Stopped bothering. I thought they would do everything right on the second shot, well...... The M.O.L.E. bags are top notch and nice foam. But for the prices I was expecting better service.

I would tell anyone to expect great product but be prepared to return, get the wrong product, or not received something. Which all happened to me.

This is interesting. I have made a half dozen purchases from them, and have always gotten exceptional service, and received exactly what I ordered.

I will say that this last time that I ordered, over July 4th when they had a big sale, I ended up getting a different color bag than I had ordered. But this was my choice. They contacted me to say they had run out of the color I ordered. They told me I could choose to wait until September when they got more, or they could give me the exact same bag in another color.

I chose to take the other color. Then, when they shipped it to me, they included a coupon for 25% off of a future order because of the hassle to me. Works for me.

Now, I will make one potentially negative comment. When you order custom foam, it sometimes can take about a month to get it, especially if you order during a sale period.

Other than that, I have been extremely happy with them.

Does anybody know how thick of foam you need to contain the YT-2400 and VT-49?

2 inches. I'm so glad, I though the VT-49 was thicker vertically.

I have about 8+ battlefoam bags along with custom cut orders. The only problem with battlefoam I have ever had was that they never get my veteran discount in there.

Confirmed !!!

Thanks for the double measurement on the Decimator above!! but can you go any thinner for the YT?

In general I noticed that the Rebels are a bit more conservative on the height dimension, and was thinking about creating a mixed layer for them. Do you think it is safe to go a size thinner?

Thanks for the reply and the link!

Useful, and makes me jealous (Aus isn't going to see them for a while yet it seems)!

If you're talking about Lasertouch, don't. I placed an order almost two months ago, and have neither gotten my order or gotten a reply to any of my emails or phone calls. Steer clear.
