Navigator clarification

By Intys Rule, in X-Wing Rules Questions

Just want to be sure... if I set a 1-hard turn (90 deg) to the left and I have a Navigator on the ship, I can reset/rotate the dial to any other maneuver (hard turn or easy turn) and any other speed as long as it is turning left, correct?

For example, on a Tie Phantom, I can set a 1-hard left, but then can reset/rotate to 2 or 3 hard left or to 2 or 3 easy left, is this correct?

Thanks!

No, if you take a hard turn-1, Navigator let's you change to another hard turn only. There are 6 bearings, so if you choose left, then you stay left. See page 6 of the rulebook.

Navigator is essentially a speed change.

I see, thanks for pointing that out!

If you combine Boba Fett with Navigator, you can end up with a very versatile combination for maneuvering. Fett lets you change your bank from left to right or right to left, then Navigator changes your speed. It becomes anyone's guess as to where you could end up.

I was thinking of this for my Tie Phantom, but that new info makes it less useful than I hoped it would be.

I normally run mine with Gunner, although Recon Specialist is a popular choice too.
