Just thought I'd share my excitement of at last having a table so I can play Talisman somewhere other than on the floor.
When I went shopping for the table I was specifically looking for something that would fit the huge FFG board with expansions. Sad, but true!
There is plenty of room at either end for players and, if that gets a little crowded, the middle splits and extends another foot and a half! The inaugural baptism of the table by Talisman will take place this week!

I have a largish chinese Opium table in my living that I game on. I specifically bought that to be large enough to fit most board games. It nicely fit Talisman with plenty of space for character cards etc.
Not any more! 
If it is OK for sports fans to buy wide screen TV and entertainment centers than it is OK for us to by furniture for our hobby as well.
Our table expands (still may not be big enough) but then we can't get around it!
I'm a bit stuck for space and don't have room for a big table to be there on a permanent basis. About a year back I got a decent size drop leaf table which I can take down and slot away when it's not in use. This table is fine for virtually all my other games. For 2nd edition Talisman when theres more than a few of us I use a pasting table on which I lay out all the epansion boards. It's a bit more awkward for the new eidtion when you are able to run in and out of the dungeon and presumably the other boards when they come out and a whoppingly large table is needed to handle the boards and give you room to put your character and cards on.
The only solution for me in my current house is to sell my exercise machine and use the space with a nice new big table. Who needs exercise anyway when you can have Talisman instead.

That's a big table you have over there
My table is not large enough to hold both regions on either side of the board.
Only one side is possible..
But we will think about something...
That would be a great table for WOWTBG...
If i have no room anymore on my table, maybe i take a huge plate and place it on the table so each region can be place on it
Velhart your table is perfect.Now all you need is the small unfolding tables that we usually use to eat in front of the tv.I bought a set of 4 tables that I use for my characters in Talisman or Arkham Horror. Hehe I know I love boardgames.

But you are using 4 extra tables for talisman? 
Oh!! That's Talismanisland 's table.Sorry Velhart!! I meant smaller tables with enough space for a food plate.The ones people use in front of their TV set in the living room.

The problem is if you place your character cart on that table, the opponent can't see wich objects you have.
And actually you may not hide your statistics.
I like to see how strong a opponent is and what for cards he has, so i can maybe steal something from him hehe

Have you really playing Talisman on the floor before you paid this table??
I thought it was a joke...
Now I'm jealousy, Jon. I guess I'll have to upgrade my table too. Our old one probably would support the main board and one expansion... with room left for players and there characters. But it looks like yours can do the whole sheebang!
Yeaaa!!! At last, seems like I won't be to only one on this forum with a big table, Talismanisland, I salute your proactivity, no bellyacking about a small table, you went and got one that will hold much more than food.
I'm very glad for you, and it seems you may have some room left after you put all the extensions for some brews and crackers too
A floor is good for a while, but as a guy who goes way back to first edition, these old bones would not agree with the floor anymore
Last weekend, we had a game with some 2nd edition expension and all 3rd edition (minus dungeon), with 4er, Dongeon and Reaper,
it was an 8 hour talisman marathon!!!
So glad I have a big table
FFG can't get those expansion out fast enough for me, can't wait to upgrade all previous editions expansions
