Gemmer's ability - "While you are at range 1 of at least 1 enemy ship, increase your agility value by 1."

Expose - "Action: Until the end of the round, increase your primary weapon value by 1 and decrease your agility value by 1."

Gemmer has 2 attack and 3 agility. His ability will give him 4 agility at range 1, then Expose brings it back down to 3. However, he gains a red die at the cost of an action, then at range 1 he'll have 4 attack. Pair him with Kyle Katarn to give him a focus to use. Would this be viable at all?

Gemmer + Chardaan Refit + A-Wing Test Pilot + Expose = 24 points

Put on experimental interface on Gemmer so they can use Expose and then focus, that way you don't need Kyle.

Great idea, that'll bring Gemmer up to 27 points instead of having Gemmer and Kyle for 45. He can green 5 right out of there to clear stress after his attack. I think Gemmer is going to become one of my new favorite pilots

Just tried Gemmer with Expose today. He definitely NEEDS Experimental Interface, because whenever I expose, I'm rolling unmodified dice and it was super unreliable. Need at least the focus or TL to make it worth it. at 27 points, I think that's still a good combo.

I have used him with the Awing test pilot and predator. That is only 24 when you use Chaardan refit. hard to kill and can reroll 1 or 2 dice depending on the target. Plus it saves your action. Put out an evade and he is even harder to kill.

Yeah, i usually put predator and/or ptl on my Green squads, but the 2 dice is just a little too painful even if both hit. That's what I liked about the ideal of Gemmer with Expose, since there's no decrease in defense if there are enemies near you, and you become a defender in attack and defense stats. The only issue is the unmodified dice, which I guess we'll just have to wait for Wave 5 to hit.
