Imperial guard (no not those!) paint all their stuff red. I think Lumia (or what was that sith chick with the whip called again) had a squad of elite storm troopers in red armor. Now i can't wait for a red ATST and ATAT...

Making squints have an option other than PTL was not my guess....it is what FFG said in the articles leading up to the release.

Imperial Aces is high on my list. Interceptors are fun to fly. But I would trade them for regulars at the first opportunity to get rid of those "EU" paint jobs.

The 2 changes I would have made to Imperial Aces are:

1. Lorrir should not get a stress from using his ability.

2. Kir Kanos should have an EPT.

I like both these pilots, and have tried to use them. With the way they have handled Rebel Aces and the Phantom there is no reason they could not have made the pilots that why. They would not be game breaking, and they would see a lot more play. I know FFG is against changing cards, but I think it is time they did an errata for certain cards. Not every card can be fixed by making a new card.

I bought 2 freaking boxes of IA because I love the ship so much. I even did so knowing that guys like Lorrir and Kanos sucked ****s. I think it would be a very positive gesture for the devs to rethink these guys and own up to the error. It's not like taking the stress off of Lorrir and giving Kanos an EPT is going to make them invisible to turret fire.

No, I'm not holding my breath. I'm glad they just don't errata/change cards right and left. I do think that the longer the game continues they will need to take a hard look at fixing some of these type of pilots. The designers do listen so hopefully something will be done in the future. If they ever do errata them FFG has the print on demand. Maybe add an errata pack so if people wanted a corrected print version they could order that.

FYI. I bought 4 Imperial Aces packs so I could get 4 Royal Guard models. I sold of 2 of the 181st models since I already had 2 custom painted ones.

They do have Print on Demand facilities, and I agree with you that when they do issue errata, it would be nice if official versions were available to us. Based on precedent so far, it doesn't seem likely to happen that way either. The best you can do is to acquire the fixed cards from reprints, unfortunately.

As I think about it...I actually use Imperial Aces stuff a lot.

Carnor Jax is amazing and is easily my second-favorite Interceptor. I use Royal Guard Pilot a lot and I used to use Lorrir before Falcons became super-popular.

I also use Hull Upgrade a lot and Targeting Computer since I like to use Vessery a lot nowadays.

Oh and Opportunist on an RGP is fantastic. You shoot before Chewie and in my opinion it's better than an HLC. As long as you have someone shooting before you to strip tokens, you can toss out 4 dice at range 3 and 5 dice at range 1! Not to mention the whole thing comes in at 26 points. You can even throw a Hull Upgrade, Shield Upgrade or both on it. With all of that on it, 33 points for something with almost as much health as a Defender, fires at PS6, basically has an HLC and a WAAAAY better dial.
