shame about their shipping prices to non US countries

I'm always astounded by the shipping costs some companies list to the UK.

I ship ebay sales to the states all the time, it does *not* cost $30 to send a pair of gloves etc...

They may as well say 'we can't be bothered with customs hassle' and be honest about it

Yup, anyone living outside of the US definatly gets the raw end of the deal, I only just managed to get Imperial Aces in the UK in the last few weeks!

I was in contact with someone in the US who very kindly offered to get me some of the pre-release stuff from GenCon. Unfortunatly it turned out that there were no sales restrictions on the Saturday and people where buying as many as they could carry, most of which are now on eBay at extortionate prices. So it looks like if Imp Aces was anything to go by I'll likely get Rebel Aces around new year. However, I also looked into postage from the US in case he had managed to get some and the cheapest I could find was around $40 (estimated size/weight of box).

I think all this and the lack of a huge imperial ship really took the wind out of my sails a little bit for X-Wing. I still love playing it, but I just feel less passionate. Hopefully the October releases will be out early October so I can fill my spare case when I come over to the US for work.

YUP... these guys and MM always pull stunts like this at the middle/end of the month when nobody has extra play $$$, then the shipping messes up the deal.
