Didn't see this posted anywhere, but here's my opinion, Black Sun will not be the 4th faction but instead be included with S&V.

The S&V starter set comes with the following:

• One Y-wing miniature with an alternative, Scum-themed paint scheme
• Two Z-95 Headhunter miniatures with Black Sun paint schemes
• Four Scum faction Firespray-31 ship cards
• Four Scum faction HWK-290 ship cards
• Six Scum faction Y-wing ship cards
• Six Scum faction Z-95 Headhunter ship cards
• Nineteen upgrade cards
• Maneuver dials and tokens for your Scum Firespray-31, HWK-290, Y-wing, and Z-95 Headhunters

yeah some of the guys (me included) pointed this out (the black sun logo on at least two ships) as soon as the gencon pics came out.

I think its pretty cool myself.

The 'star viper' has a black sun logo on it too. I thought the little swarm fighter did as well but on close inspection it was 'grimed' detail.

Black Sun as part of S&V was pretty solidly confirmed with the Prince Xizor pilot card for the Star Viper, the first day the S&V faction was announced.

Black Sun kind of is Scum, although it's Black Sun, Hutts and the Car'das all bundled together.

Yeah, going to have to repaint one of my HWK-290s in 'Black Sun' colors, I think...maybe...we'll see what the ship cards look like...

The two lower pilot skill vipers both start black su... I think that adds credit to this. Black sun are definitely scum and villainy.

Sorry, but it seems super obvious that Black Sun is included. Several of the cards look to be actual Black Sun generic pilots, Prince Xizor is the PS7 StarViper pilot, whats-her-name the humanoid droid lady is also a pilot, etc.

Yes, Black Sun is the default in terms of the paints. However, I think it's going to really give some painters an opportunity to come up with different color schemes for their cartel of choice. The Scyk is already in what I imagine are Hutt Cartel colors.

Is anybody already coming up with ideas?

Indeed. As said, several of the fighters have "black sun...." names. However, some are Car'Das (the highest PS Scyk is a Car'Das flight instructor from Galaxies) whilst some may be Hutt goons. Plus guild bounty hunters.

Black Sun being present in the game is certainly a huge draw for me for me to switch from the Rebellion (I'm a traitor now, sorry. Lawl.) to the Scum faction. StarVipers are just plain cool, and the fact that I can repurpose all the somewhat maligned Rebel stuff I have alongside the option for the Andrasta is just wunderbar~
