Hypothesis: Innsmouth rulebook this week, release next week

By Solan, in Arkham Horror Second Edition

Assuing they hold true to the same pattern they followed with the Dungeon expansion for Talisman, the fact that we've had the announcement that Innsmout was coming and four previews means that we'll see the Innsmouth rulebook posted online before the week is out. Then next week the much-anticipated Innsmouth expansion will at last be released to the public! Ia! Ia! Cthulhu Fthagn!

I'm thinking that the scenarios have something to do with it. They are leading into the release, especially with the conjecture that Calvin is one of the characters in Innsmouth. So that puts it about... six weeks out? They're pretty good about one scenario every two weeks. If they release Innsmouth after the last scenario, that would be pretty good timing and press. Not to mention dragging us along salivating in their footsteps.

I predict that the last scenario or two might actually include the Innsmouth expansion and require you to use Calvin as an investigator

That's good too.

They'll probably release it in time for people to actually get their hands on a copy before it's needed for league play. Even if it's only the last scenario you need it for it will be out one week or so before the last scenario. If it's needed for the ninth scenario it's about two weeks away right now.

I hope it comes out VERY soon as my group cannot wait to get our hands on this one.

We will be playing with everything added in as we always play it.

I wonder how much harder the game will get with this expansion??

I would add another week to that, unless the Upcoming page changes the status from "on the boat" to "shipping" today. More likely, we're looking at another preview this Friday, then maybe a rules PDF next week, followed by it hitting stores at the very end of May.
