It's not all about the narrative in this case, because the force pike is not a blunt weapon and should be ineligible for the weighted head.
It’s certainly not an edged weapon, and therefore Mono-molecular Edge would not be applicable.
If it’s not an edged weapon, then what is it?
We just limited the amount of silliness if we think someone is "going to far" (in this case someone trying to pack Serrated, Mono-Molecular, Weighted Head, and Superior on a Vibro-axe).
You could get three of those four things on a Vibro-Axe easily. But it only has 3 HP, and with the right skills you can only add one more HP, and so you’d either have to give up Weighted Head (2HP) or one of the other attachments (1 HP each). But I don’t think Weighted Head can be applied to Edged Weapons.
You could apply Balanced Hilt, however. I can tell you from personal experience that combination with the rest of the above is quite, quite nasty.
In fact, it was so nasty that I decided it was OP and that I had to nerf the weapon that my own Wookiee Maurauder uses. My GM didn’t do this to me, I did it to myself because I felt it was too OP.

No one took more than 1 rank of Tinkerer in our last campaign so it never came up.

Since so much of the game refuses to apply hard and fast rules, we opted to play fast and loose. Our primary metric: Can the player explain how it could work? Note: We allow them to change the name and fluff text to things to fit the narrative.
Thus a Weighted Head could be a "Concussion Emitter". A Serrated Edge could be "Distortion Field Projector" and stick it on a Force Pike.
The only thing we steered away from was allowing melee mods on ranged weapons and vice-versa. Mostly to stop the Bounty Hunter from sticking a Balanced Hilt (Customized Grips) on his Blaster Carbine (which was already Superior Quality and Jury-Rigged 3 times)

* He's already accounted for the first 100K they make... I'm not sure where yet, but he says it's all going on the ship. I might just run a Homestead game. ![]()
3 juryrigs on 1 weapon shouldn't be possible. While it is ranked, the pc is only allowed to pick 1 item per rank to modify. It doesn't specify what kind of item through, so a pc in my game has rigged his slicing gear.
I would also allow weighted head on many weapons that have edges. The flat side of a sword is very effective for blunt, non lethal damage (provided the pc has stunning blow talent, don't want to down play specialized talents). Unless its specificaly says in the description that it cant be used to cause nonlethal damage. I just warn my players "what's good for the goose is good for the gander."

Though honestly, it didn't make too much difference... he upped it's damage once, decreased the Crit, and reduced the Encumbrance. Not exactly game breaking*. To be honest we probably could have let him toss the Balanced Hilt on there and it wouldn't have changed too much... he tended to decide to wade into melee and let the Claws fly with Brawl roughly half the time anyway (Trando with an ending BRAWN 5 Brawl 5... so he tended to do almost as much damage in h-h, just no where near as many Crits).
Yes, reducing the Crit and tossing Balanced Hilt on there with Superior would have made it a Crit machine. Which is why we nixed that idea.
