Rebel Assault Frigate MkII'ish

By bulldoguk, in X-Wing

That's a good looking build. Well done! And condolences to Mighty Mo and fam!

Daaaamn..!

I think the Assult Frigate needs 3 sections, each of which gets 1 action per turn. Each section should have 2 actions on its bar, so that you can make a choice between 2, instead of feeling like you have a lot you _need_ to do, without a great way to do it.

I'm thinking:

Fore: Coordinate/Jam

Amidships: Recover/Target Lock

Aft: Reinforce/Slice

Her Reinforce action should cover 2 sections, either Fore/Mid or Mid/Aft.

The Mighty Mo title should let you flip a blank to a hit on every attack. Pair that with Han Solo crew and you've got a solid attack ship.

The "Maureen's Grace" title lets friendly ships take free actions even while stressed.

Very nice looking WOW..... :o

(that's me being speechless)

While I still don't like the ship type, I can't deny that your take on the ship is a bloody beauty. Great job mate!

That's some incredible beauty there

That is flipping awesome!

What scale is this to? X-Wings Epic scale?

if it's not lets make it so

Very nice! Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

Fantastic modeling!

Incredible. How do you store that thing?

Glad you like it chaps, I'll try and remember to post things when I am done next time!

Punning, I like the cut of your jib, what sort of hull structure/shielding do you think it should have?

Mazz0, it's intended for use in X-wing, not to true scale of course more of a manageable 'game scale' small enough to move around but big enough to still look like a different class of ship from the Neb B and something you should stay away from! It's about 2 foot long

SWO Daddy, currently sat on a shelf looking very bored, if I could stop building new things and clear the table for a couple of evenings it would be nice to play! Tempted to take all my ships to the next trade show and have one almighty game!

The wings, keel and tail boom are all magnetised so it breaks down to a more manageable shape for storage and transport

ps. I have just noticed that the old star destroyer kits are pretty much the 'right' scale alongside the frigate to convert into a gladiator...hmmmm looks like I just found my next project for that dusty old model in the corner!

50 points per section. 5 Epic points.

I just looked at all the current Huge ships, and each of them has 8 hull per section (save the Gozanti, which has 9). So 8 Hull per section. Shields have a _lot_ more variability. I'd put 5 shield on the front, 6 in the mid, and 4 in the aft.

I'd put 3 hardpoints in the front, and 1 in the rear, leaving the mid empty. 1 crew in the front, 4 mid, and 1 rear. 2 teams per section. 1 cargo per section.

4 energy for 1 straight, 3 for 2 straight and 1 bank. No energy for 3 straight, 2 energy for 2 banks. You need _lots_ of energy for powering this beast.

This could be a 300 point monster by itself, if you let it. I think it might even earn back it's points.
