Your shuttles... Why do you torment them so?
Perhaps the Retraction modules have jammed? I hear that is a common maintenance problem with the Lambda class shuttle.
That's about all the further I can get the wings down without really forcing the issue.

You can cut some plastic on a wing/hull and wings will go further for right placement.

Try a little 3-n-1 oil, I used a synthetic lubricant and they fully extent and I have no issues with them.. just a thought.
If you place the S&V in the center, you can have the HWKs and Firesprays on the outsides linking the respective factions. I assume you're just going to keep the repaints in S&V and the old paint in Rebel?

Two lovely looking fleets... The one on the left being more lovely obviously! 
That number of Falcons is unethical. You have three too many.
There is an explination for the falcons. I was outfitting two other friends at Nationals with everything they needed to play a few rounds, check it out, get a Chewie card, see what i was going to spend (hopefully at the time) 1/2 my GrnCon doing. So i needed three falcons. I had two, but picked up a third to strip down to repaint. So that one is useless, ao when i needed a workable third, I had to get a 4th. A friends falcon is standing in for the stripped falcon (and two a-wings, firespray and phantom). All the refinishig is one of the reasons i have not done a fleet shot in a while. Not sure why I never thought to use stand-ins for the ones in process.
Only 2 HWK... I am ashamed for you:)

Pinch in on the back joint as you bring them down. It does wonders.

Dang, I should have sent you some money to pick up a few ships for me! How did you do, I assume you played while at GenCon?
7th. Lost to Paul Heaver in the 1st round of the top 8, he had 1 hit point left on his Han, so it was at literally as close at it gets. While we did run out of time, I think it's very likely if the game was un-timed I still would not have gotten the hit in on his Han. It was an amazing game.
I had a great time across all 12 rounds (one opponent was a no-show).

But there is something that I must ask you, something that bothers my self-diagnosed OCD so much that I created an account just to ask you this. Why didn't you post a photo of your complete collection? I see that you have three red-striped interceptors so you must have acquired three sets of Imperial Aces and thus a red interceptor is missing .
Nope. That's not why there is a mismatch. I painted bloodstripes on one of my interceptors long before Imperial Aces was announced.
