I play both, however I play much more X-Wing than Armada purely because more of my friends play X-Wing, it's cheaper to get into and there are constant content updates. I prefer Armada but I can totally see why people don't want to get involved with it, it's expensive and its been so long since a new wave for it that a lot of people I spoke to about the game didn't even think it was still being supported, they had assumed it had been cancelled at the same time as Netrunner and that it wasn't publiscised as well.
