Hey, gang! Been lurking for a while, finally hopped on the bandwagon.

Have any of you re-painted your CR-90s? Specifically, I'm wondering about the engine block, and how you got in between the engines to paint them. I was wondering about possibly disassembling them, but I've been leery of doing that.

Call me old fashioned, but black with gold trim is the best in nearly every circumstance.

Wow, I love in black, and even I love red, it remember me EI, so I have an encounter feelings about it, but good job, greettings.

You know it would be easy and look great if you go with one or three. Just gray zap it and make it light, then drowned the **** thing with a good black wash. Then come back and hit it with a good medium light gray dry brush. Pick out the details and you are done. You can go further but the above approach will look badass.

Buy another cr90 problem solved... plus then each faction can have one...

That red one looks like my paint scheme, except with black trim and a brighter red.

I have to second the red one. It's the most striking of them all, right down to the blue drives.

The engine pieces come off very easily, I wanted my Cr90 to have the red banded engines symetrical and gave one a waglle and it popped right out.

They are glued on with some superglue type glue rather than a polycement which would 'melt/bond' so if you are careful you can take them all off and rearrnage them. Its what i did before painting the engines.

i just added detail to mine though, no full repaint.

The flash on that pic makes it look a lot worse than it is, in reality its a really 'hot orange' on the engines with white in the centres. The other changes i made were small things like the painting the gun barrels to define them more and painting lights on the bridge rather than a black slot.
