Battlefront & Battlefront 2 were the best SW games by far.
[OFF TOPIC] Best Star Wars Video Game?
did nobody else ever play 'masters of terai kasaii' (sp?) then. we had loads of fun with it.
Crude now but great fun at the time.
I rebought a PS1 a few years back just to play it.
I've never played Rebellion before (I believe in UK, it's called Supremacy, for any UK players that are puzzled by this name), but it sounds like a Masters of Orion 2 Star Wars style. Oooh, can I nominate MOO2 for best game all time???
My favorite star wars game was Republic Commando. I think I cried when 07 didn't get back to the extraction point. Most upsetting part of my childhood.
The Force Unleashed - part 1.
It's interesting, i found the battleground the most uninspiring ones, like if they were just star wars goes battlefield style to get some extra bucks. Different tastes are everything hehe, glad you guys enjoy it tho (i have friends who like them a lot, i had played with them online, but they are not really my type of game).
Edited by DreadStarSWG is my all time favorite, but my personal favorite is Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight.
Coincidentally, my daughter is playing Republic Commando in the other room at this exact moment.
Not sure what my #1 is, but the top of the list has TIE Fighter, Jedi Knight, Battlefront II, KOTOR, Rogue Squadron N64, and Empire at War.
I'd love a current-gen sequel to Republic Commando.
Republic Commando is hands down the greatest video game (and book series) in the world. Battlefront is number two.

Ah so many fun games that kept the love alive over the years
the original arcade games. X-wing, the incredible TIE Fighter, X-wing Alliance, Dark Forces, Jedi Knight series, Shadows of the Empire, Rogue Squadron 1&2, KOTOR 1 & 2, Jedi Academy, Republic Commando, Force Unleashed, Rogue Leader, Soul Calibur V. I really should get around to updating my PC so I could play Old Republic.
Oh and if you want to laugh your ass off Star Wars Kinect dancing
edit: haha ninjad on the arcade game

Sev, man. Sev. Not 07. Delta could have stayed and rescued him, but no. They left.

It's not fair, he was part of the team. Like a brother. Well, technically, he was a brother. Let's rescue him in the sequel! I don't remember if that's possible, and I don't have my books here. Also, I don't know how to handle spoilers on the forums.
I'd actually like to see Imperial Commando. Hunting rogue Jedi and dissidents would be fun.
TIE Fighter or Jedi Knight II, for my money. Wish we could get a proper sequel(or sequel to the sequel in JK2's case) to either on modern hardware...
Honorable Mention to Knights of the Old Republic
Edited by OtaconI would kill for a new flight sim with TIE Fighter's complexity and Rogue Squadron's cinematic feel.
Its a toss up between Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight and Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast (man that series was great, but had a terrible naming structure ala First Blood / Rambo movies).
KotOR, KotOR 2, SWToR, Dark Forces. Plus 1313 looked like it had the potential to be great.
I only ever played the TIE Fighter demo. After the mission ended you kept playing and the rebels jumped in new ships (Gold Squadron A-wings) periodically. Best I ever did was getting to Gold 18ish; it took a while and I got tired and had to quit around that point.
I grew up on tie fighter and Jedi knight: Jedi outcast. Jo was awesome and lento a brief phase of computer map building....
Kotor was good as well.

I DID play this as a youngin'. Soooo far ahead of its time. I also remember it being hard as hell.
KotOR
I want to field the Ebon Hawk. Too bad it's a few thousand years off from the XWMG time setting.
I see a few fellas have mentioned Masters of Terra Kassi (sp?). Fun game, but one aspect made me laugh: why would you ever fight Luke or Darth without their lightsabres?
I still play Xwing Alliance. Some awesome chaps/chapettes have re-textured the models (Star Wars Modelling Allliance) for us.
Battlefront was fun over LAN with the buddies/buddettes on XBOX.
The original Dark Forces was stellar too.
But for me, the greatest series has to be KOTOR.
Too hard to choose, played a lot over the years and had a lot of favorites.
I think the xwing/tie fighter series is probably my favorite series though.
The Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series would be a close second.
Also got a lot of use out of Rebellion back in the day. Even though Empire at War is an improvement in most aspects, I do miss the ability to have fleets as big as you wanted square off in Rebellion. I loved building up fleets of dozens of super star destroyers supported by tons of smaller ships and hundreds of fighter squadrons.
TIE Fighter hands down.
Someday if I get the time I'll look up how to install it on Win7 and play through it again.
If they redid the engine and kept but kept the same mechanics, and added multi-player, it would sell amazingly well.

This.
Anyone got a quick and dirty TIE Fighter guide? I see a lot of you still play it. I'd love to play that game again. Easily the best Star Wars game ever.
