i was told that in this game drawing cards and adding cards to you hand were the same thing. I have played many different tcg's and in every one of them if you were drawing a card it was not the same as adding a card to you hand. for instance the sc05 voldo says: R: After your opponent adds cards to their hand during the Combat Phase, you may either draw X cards, or your opponent discards the top X cards of their deck. X equals the amount of cards added to your opponent's hand. will this ability work with the ds02 card anitsocial which says: R Commit: After your opponent plays an attack, each player draws X cards then discards down to X+1 cards. X equals the amount of cards in that players hand when the attack was played. now from my understanding the words add and draw are 2 seperate words therefore being 2 seperate abilities. so when i draw cards during my combat phase will voldo make me discard the same amount that i drew from the top of my deck?
Drawing vs. Adding

Yup.
If you draw cards, your hand size gets bigger.
That means you have added cards to your hand.
You have added those cards to your hand by drawing them.
So if you draw - that means you've added cards.
However adding cards is NOT the same as drawing cards as you pointed out.
If something prevents you from drawing, you may still add cards to your hand from sources that are not draw.
