What a weekend! So many new and exciting announcements that I'm still trying to wrap my head around but one thing seems clear to me is that its a great time to be a Star Wars and miniature gaming fan. XWMG couldn't be at a better place.

Now that we have a 3rd faction I was wondering if we'll see pilots and ships that aren't associated with the dark underbelly of the criminal underworld like Talon Karrde and the ships of the smugglers alliance. Since its almost certain that we're getting Emon Azzameen as the new Firespray pilot and he's by no means associated with any criminal organization, do you think we'll see more honorable scum in future releases?

Kath Scarlet was a pirate that preyed on Imperial shipping. She's natural scum material: only Krassis (a slaver) and Boba fit the Empire that well. Why Emon Azzameen?

1. FFG didn't want to just release the same three pilots again.

2. Emon Azzameen cannot be Imperial if you know his backstory: far more grating than Kath, hence him not being in the original Firespray.

3. FFG wanted another Firespray title.

Scum's the only place he fits.

Karrde I could see in the Scum faction. I think the reason Rendar and the YT-2400 are firmly Rebel is because Xizor teaming up with Dash would make people who liked SotE cry.

Emon fits quite well within the Scum & Villany faction I think, not so sure about Aeron and Ace though.

...hmmm, I wonder if we'll see the Viraxo make an appearance?

I would like to see Booster and Mirax Terrik but they might be too closely associated with the Rebellion to be in the Scum faction. Still, I think there may be a possibility.
