IG-2000

By Explosive Ewok, in X-Wing

So this could very well turn into my favorite ship in the game.

I think it's pretty **** awesome, not to mention unique, that all the pilots are the same skill - due to them all technically being the same pilot - but I wonder if that means they're all the same point cost? I find myself leaning more towards point cost depending on how good or bad the pilot ability is.

But oh man, that title card.

The possibility of fielding up to three of them (I'm not about to get my hopes up for fielding all four in a 100-point setting) all sharing pilot abilities sounds like incredible fun.

Getting 2 in 100 is probably all you're gonna get. But I agree; it looks great.

They will probably all cost the same, will just be a matter of personal preference for their different pilot abilities.

Really doubt you'll be able to field 3, would mean 2 of them are at least 3 pts less than the revealed one. Cost seems to generally correlate more with stats, upgrade slots and pilot skill, which as you said are all even. If they do vary it will be by a single point at most if you ask me, but I suspect they'll all be the same.

Yeah I agree. I fully expect to only see 2, but am hopeful to see a point variance to allow up to 3.

Unless IG-88D is costed 3-4 points higher than normal for his ability and the generic one is 3-4 lower, I don't see more than two in a standard list. I hope that's the case, but I doubt it. Epic is another story of course.

For 36 points 3,3,4,4 plus a killer turn, yes please. In addition it seems that 36 points may be the most expensive ship and for the upgrade bar that's a deal. IG2000 plus PTL 3 defense dice and an evade lol.

Even if you could field three, aren't these guys just begging to get kitted out. I'm saying two pimped IG's plus a doom shuttle sounds about right. Solid serving of delicious cheese. :) maybe even one IG and The New Boba, after all his kit bar expanded a little.

Assuming a few points here and there between pilots, could probably field all 4 in a 150.

Doom Shuttle is the wrong faction.

Even two of them at the 100-point level could be brutal. They have room for double cannons, plus an EPT and Illicit upgrades. It's a Double Falcon scenario.

The dual cannons finally make the autoblaster plausible. Maybe. First you'd ion cannon an opposing ship, and then-since you'd know exactly where it will be, you can get up next to it and fire. I can't make out if it has a systems upgrade, but if so, an accuracy corrector would be a damned-near auto-include.

Those 8 points mean you are _guaranteed_ 2 hits, minimum, every time you get an enemy into range 1. Doesn't matter I'd they are a stealthed phantom or not. Basically the on!y way they're not taking damage is with a sensor jammer.

It does indeed have a system slot. Bar is [EPT] [system] [Cannon] [Cannon] [bomb] [illicit]

That'd put you at 47, at least for the known pilot, so you could conceivably operate a pair of them with 3pt EPTs.

So according to the video interview from TeamCovenant they're all point costed the same. They didn't explicitly say so, but did passively say that "it's a 36-point ship."

So much for 3. Still I'm excited for finding out the other abilities to see which ones mesh well in pairs.

Doom Shuttle is the wrong faction.

Takes some gettin used to.

I'm seeing Advanced Sensors to Focus or Boost, then Stay on Target on each one, one of them being IG-88D. Both of them can always focus, then pick the 90 degree Segnor's loop that best positions them. We now have the best large base arc-dodger.

Assuming a few points here and there between pilots, could probably field all 4 in a 150.

4 X 36 = 144. Leaves you six points for upgrades. Use them wisely

Hellooo EPIC play IG2000 scum fleet! :D

That sounds fun! I wonder if there will be additional rules that allows a scum-squadron to be 'hired' by the rebs or Imps in a Team EPIC game or such... could be funny :)

*Stupid Post*

Sure, you can field all 3 if you play 108 point battles...

Oh yeah, sorry, i was thinking it was 98 for some reason... scrap my post.

Sooo: The pilots are all 36 points, so you'll be able too field three of them! Still don't know about the killer turn, but that Segnors loop looks interesting...

Yup, most you can do is 2 for 72 points, then flank with something else.

Can anyone refresh list building rules for me in epic? Can you field four of the same large ship?

I thought it was 12 and 6.

Sithborg has it. 12 for small base, 6 for large
